I went to Jimmy’s Restaurant and Catering yesterday for their Irani and Afghani Wednesday buffet — my fourth visit (third time for the Wednesday buffet) — and I was so excited to win their lucky draw this time!
I truly enjoyed every dish, especially the Afghani Pulao, Shirazi Pulao, and the flavorful Mast-o-Mousir dip. My absolute favorites were the Chapli Kebabs and Kebab Kaboodeh — both were perfectly cooked and full of flavor. I also loved their traditional desserts, especially the Sheer Biranj, and the Biryani Bademjan (eggplant dish) was rich and delicious.
This review isn’t because I won the buffet for two — it’s a genuine review from someone who has been coming to this buffet ever since it started. It truly is my most favorite! ❤️

Went to jimmy’s after my wife read good service from Ambreen (waiters). Also I wanted to try their nahri First, we went and asked for Ambreen, ☺️
Food came out late, appetizer was 10/10 (thanks to our waiter)! We got the papri chaat, zinger burger combo, beef nihari, naan and chicken biriyani.
The zinger burger was dry, and bit cold 6/10. They can definitely work on their naan because it’s more like soft bita bread, rather than naan.
I would say try S&S cheesesteak zinger 10/10 and signature grill Plano naan.
On the other hand, beef nihari was AMAZING 10/10, biriyani was good! I would get those again. Chicken 65 was also good
Chai ☕️ was out, I would try curry and sweets in the future.
Nonetheless, the best part about our visit was our waiter, Ambreen. She was an AMAZING waiter! She made ordering food was easy and ensured she was available anytime we needed her! We would definitely request for her next time. She was also very friendly!

Today experience was worst ever, we waited 15 min for nan, to start our dinner.
Thereafter, there was no dessert and no tea, but paid the full buffet price,
Service was very bad, no management, no one listing, i asked for water which never came till the end, and dirty area where they were keeping buffet.

Absolutely one of my favorite Pakistani restaurants in DFW! ⭐️ The food is always fresh, full of authentic flavor, and very reasonably priced. The customer service is excellent and makes you feel truly welcome every time. They serve one of the best Nihari in town—rich, hearty, and perfectly spiced.

From the appetizers to the main food, desserts, drinks, décor, setup — EVERYTHING was flawless. Not only was it beautifully presented, but the taste was unreal. There wasn’t a single person who didn’t come up to me and say “the food was AMAZING!”

We have used them at least once a week for take outs and occasionally for small catering orders. They are generally good. Food taste can vary even for the same item. Food tastes better than many other halal restaurants in the area. It is not for fine dining experience. Prices are about average. Most main menu items are from $13 to $18.

Finally tired this place, I didn’t have much of expectation as from out side it just looks ok. .. boy I was wrong. We have some American and Pakistan food here and it was the best tasting food I had in a a while very authentic and even the burgers were good. I can’t wait to go in a try more stuff. They served mango juice (on house) which was refreshing.
My kid enjoyed their chicken nuggets and fries.
Picked up chicken zinger and club sandwich other day but I have had better at other places.

Jimmy’s Burger and Grill was a frustrating experience. The burger came out so hot I literally couldn’t hold it, which made me wait even longer just to eat. I ordered a Zinger burger, and it took like 30 minutes just to get my food.
This wasn’t my first time either—last time, it took 45 minutes for my order. The service here is really bad. When I asked for my change, the cashier said they didn’t have any and it took a whole 20 minutes just to finally get it.
Honestly, the wait times and service make it hard to recommend this place. If you’re in a rush, skip it.
