The fried mozzarella was excellent: house-made, perfectly coated in garlicky breading, and served with a rich marinara that tasted like an authentic nonna’s sauce—savory, balanced, and comforting.
The polenta fritta was decent but could use a bit more seasoning and crispness. It would really shine with fresh Parmesan and Italian parsley, or even a simple sauce on the side.
I appreciated the smaller pasta portion, which feels intentional and true to Italian dining—more of a tasting size that leaves room for a second course. The bucatini was cooked al dente and paired with a delicious sauce featuring house-cured pork. The savory-sweet balance and bold cracked black pepper flavor really stood out.
Overall, Coperta delivers thoughtful Italian cooking with genuine hospitality. A place that values tradition, quality, and a relaxed dining experience.
Our server, Kristie (or Christie?), truly made our evening special with her kindness and welcoming demeanor. She was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu and offered expert recommendations that enhanced our meal beyond our expectations. It was like reconnecting with an old friend. She is incredibly personable and we left with huge smiles on our faces.
Now, let’s talk about the food—specifically the pastas. Each dish was nothing short of divine; every bite was bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. It’s clear that the chefs at Coperta take great pride in their craft. The bruschetta was also delicious!
Overall, the combination of exceptional service and exquisite cuisine makes Coperta a must-visit. We can’t wait to return!
The gentleman who greeted us and took us to our table was very nice and accommodating! Our waitress was also very nice! She answered our questions and also made great suggestions and recommendations about the menus! We were under a little bit of a time crunch, but she was still very polite and attentive!
Food wise, everything was delicious except for the salmon special they had on this night. We ordered 2 because we had a group, and one was underseasoned and overcooked, and the other was undercooked a bit, at least for our liking. However, the Spaghetti Cacio e Pepe dish was amazing, and so was the Goat Cheese and Chive Ravioli and The Lamb Shoulder! We loved everything except the salmon, which is the only reason I gave 4 stars. Also, their smaller menu consists of weekly items, so they may change and can be different than what people’s pictures show.
The atmosphere was nice, and the restaurant was laid out very well with how the tables were situated. You didn’t feel cramped or too close to other tables, which was great! Some restaurants, especially Italian ones, put the tables too close to each other, but not here.
Overall, we were very happy our friends took us here! We will be back for more of that Spaghetti Cacio e Pepe entre! I definitely recommend giving this place a try if you’re looking for a great Italian restaurant!
