A fun upbeat place, filled with Hawaiian and surfer-dude swag. A vast and extensive menu with great sushi and Hawaiian classics. Don’t miss on the daily specials, we tried the Elk sliders….WOW! Decent bar and drink selection too.

Sorry, forgot to get a photo of those.

Check it out!!!

We found this place after going for a sand dune ride. My daughter had the real California roll, made with real crab. I had a roll with ahi tuna. And my best friend had a chicken loaded taco. The vibe is amazing inside and out. With having been to Hawaii it made you feel like you were there. Fantastic food. Would reccomend to anyone.

Chef Christian and Natasha cook up unbelievable fusion Hawaiian foods that are always worth the wait. Expect a wait because food this good is well worth it. It always amazes me how the food that tastes this good and consistently comes out of that small kitchen. Try the Volcano Chicken, Ribs, and the Thai Mango Chicken is awesome. Tacos and burgers are great. Perfection every time. My wife and I plan lunch trips just to eat here. We drive 3 hours because it is always that good. Come join us at the Pono Hukilau for some fresh Sushi and dinner. We hope to see you here! Aloha!

We’ve been up and down the whole coast of Oregon a few times and never had such wonderful food and drinks. We also visit Maui frequently and this authentic Hawaiian food tops the majority of restaurants we’ve visited even in Hawaii. Very fresh, extremely flavorful, and the staff was very welcoming and friendly. We look forward to coming back every time we visit Oregon!

Great spot! Had a cool Hawaiian feel to the place, and the food was excellent. A little pricier than some other places around, but I think it’s worth it. Great service too. Will be back.

Great place for both foodies and families with picky eaters. This restaurant is a labor of love by a family that started out with a food truck. With a full bar and sushi menu, there’s something for everyone. Of all our dishes, the teriyaki chicken is our personal recommendation, which shows how the family has elevated contemporary dishes to beautiful and delicious plates.

Christian “Kane Haole” was raised in Maui & spent his formative years paddling outrigger canoes, surfing the big ones & fishing far off shore. At the urging of his Japanese mother, the ten year old Christian mastered the mysteries of sushi preparation at his father’s legendary restaurant famed for their Hawaiian classics & Pacific Rim specialties. After a 4 year stint in the U.S. Army Tank Corp, he attended culinary school back in the islands & subsequently honed his considerable skills in a variety of Parisian kitchens. His lovely wife Natasha & their 3 children relocated to Florence several years ago to be closer to family & enjoy the quality of life that characterizes our community.

Over the past 4 years, Christian & Natasha have served thousands of memorable meals from their iconic “big yellow truck on 101” aka “A Taste of Hawaii” and now they are inviting you to experience a diversified menu in a comfortable setting by joining them regularly at their very own “righteous gathering place”. “The Pono Hukilau”

This place is unbelievably good! My friends took me here to show me how special it is, and boy I was surely impressed. The food is off the charts delicious . The atmosphere and decor is about as kooky as you would expect for a coastal beach like restaurant. However, this place took over what used to be the harvest cafe. If you are traveling through Florence, Oregon, do yourself a favor and stop in for an unforgettable foodie experience. Keep in mind, they’re closed Sunday, Monday, Tuesday

We were only in Florence overnight, but had researched the area restaurants previously. When we realized there was a Hawaiian Tiki Restaurant we had to try it! It’s popular, but our wait at 5:30 without a reservation was only a few minutes. The Mai Tai’s were great, as well as the delicious shrimp tacos (they were huge!) & the teriyaki chicken plate lunch. Our wait person (Hannahleah) was wonderful. Will definitely go there again when we’re in Florence.

Great atmosphere definitely a lengthy process. I was a little bummed the fish wasn’t cooked through on my salad and when I was asked I let them know but they said it looked fine. They also assured me it was sushi grade fish. I don’t know something about waiting an hour for dinner I wasn’t expecting under cooked. But highly recommend the tequitos!

So much flavor best hawaiian food we’ve tasted on the mainland. Christian the owner and chef is amazing and full of Aloha for sure. It’s worth the wait they’re very bz for a reason. Like there sign says if you no have patience and Aloha there’s a dairy queen next door. We just went again last night. Christian nailed it again. It’s a45 min drive for us to get there and so worth it. Mahalo nui for sharing your Aloha. Jasmine our waitress couldn’t be any sweeter so much Aloha flows thru this place.
