If atmosphere and vibe are what you seek, Planks is your place. This place hits all of the right feels. With family pictures and hometown history galore, I felt like I walked into an episode of Cheers when I said it was my first time visiting and the staff hollered back, “Well where have you been?” I practically expected Norm to be there with a beer in hand. This is the place where old timers come by daily just to catch up on anything they didn’t talk about yesterday. It really is a slice of warm feels.
As for Planks’ food, I ordered a large pep, sausage, and extra cheese pizza to go. Service was quick and incredibly kind. The crust was cracker crisp but the toppings were sparse. What is instantly noticeable however is the sweet taste. As in REALLY sweet, which is just not my thing. The sweet and smokey pizza flavor is just a touch overbearing for my taste and it likely will keep me away.
It breaks my heart to give Planks a 3 out 5 because the staff and vibes are perfect. I just wish they kept their sweetness out of their pizza.

I went on a Tuesday evening and sat at the bar. I got a large pepperoni and sausage to go. I had a couple drinks while I waited. Bartender was very nice and social. I have to say their Pizza is fantastic I used to go there with my grandma and grandpa back in the day and the one I had recently was just as good they’ve got something secret in that crust and it’s sweet!

Moderately priced pizza, appetizers, menu specials, and drinks. The service is always great. I’ve never had a bad experience at Planks, ever. Great place to watch sports or any Ohio State Buckeyes game!!

While dining at this “establishment”, my girlfriend, who is a pescatarian, found chicken bones in her cheese pizza. Alarming for multiple reasons and their “fix” was to remove the chicken bones, place them back on the plate, and gave her the same pizza back. She didn’t want to make a scene and paid for her meal. When I spoke with the manager he implied she brought her own bones, saying he wouldn’t know where the bones would have came from. To mess up to this degree borders on intentionality or perhaps severe incompetence.
If you like chicken bone pizza with a side of delusional management then I promise you this is your spot!

First time trying Plank’s! Really good pie, we had a large pep and sausage. Super sweet, almost tasted like it had a hot honey glaze on it. Paired well with a side of ranch. Glad I finally got to stop by, will be back!

The place looks great, but that’s about it. When coming in the waitress was an old lady and she didn’t even say hi, she just asked how many, and then she told me exactly where I should sit, even if the restaurant was empty. The place is overpriced, almost 18 for a 10″ pizza with almost no toppings, just in the middle, and over 3 usd for a canned stary. The men restroom was disgusting, you could see the mold in the urinals. Overall i think its overpriced, overrated and a huge disappointment since I went there thinking it was a good place because of the above 4 stars google review. Definitely not coming here ever again.

Service upon pick up was not the greatest, didn’t feel as welcoming as it should have and kind of seemed maybe slightly irritated. As far as the pizza it was horrible. From the crust to the toppings tasted sweet and dry as there was little sauce on both pizzas. Maybe it was a bad day as I see others have an enjoyable experience but for me this place is a no.
