I highly suspect there are better restaurants in the area to visit.
I ordered the grilled flounder and it was good – but not $29 good. The green beans were not fresh.
Wife ordered the tuna – it was bland. Her salad was a sad iceberg blend and the blue cheese dressing was spoiled.
Kids grilled cheese was white bread with a single slice of American cheese.
Fried shrimp “I kinda like it, but didn’t like it” according to daughter.
Pecan pie was okay.

Had a great lunch on St George Island at the Beach Pit restaurant. I had the Grouper sandwich and an awesome Brunswick stew for a side, the wife had the shrimp po’boy on a hoagie bun with a delicious potato salad. Delicious food to fuel up on before exploring the entire 22 mile island with a state park on the eastern end and a cool lighthouse in the center!

A wonderful location for breakfast! I had biscuits and sausage gravy with 2 over-easy eggs. We got a bloody Mary to drink and my wife had the waffle with strawberries.
Food tasted great and was cooked well.
***ONLY reason for 3 stars on food was portion sizes***
The biscuits and gravy were a single biscuit cut in half and the sausage gravy was white gravy with a few pieces of sausage sprinkled on top. Tasted great just expected more. The waffle and strawberries were a good portion.
The waitress was very kind and attentive. Thank you for a great experience.

My fried oysters were a delight. The service was fast and accurate. The atmosphere was typical for a resort island. I enjoyed my experience.

Some things are good. Some not so much.
BBQ is really good, sides are very good. Fried oysters today were as bad as they get. All breading and a shriveled up oyster the size of a pencil eraser.
That being said…I like it and will go back, just not for fried oysters.

Beach Pit is a fantastic spot for some delicious BBQ by the beach! The atmosphere is laid-back and fun, perfect for enjoying a meal with a view. The ribs and pulled pork were perfectly smoked, tender, and full of flavor. Their sides were just as great — especially the mac & cheese and coleslaw. The staff was friendly and quick, making the experience even better. It’s the ideal place to kick back, enjoy great food, and soak up the beach vibes. Definitely coming back for more!

Wow, absolutely amazing. Sierra greeted me with a warm welcoming smile on a very chilly Florida morning. The food was just as good. So much so that I ate there every morning during my stay. Breakfast was amazing and cooked perfectly. Sierra definitely was a plus and always kept smiling. Thank you till next time.

Cute atmosphere, no wait, and good value for the money spent. My pancakes were a bit overcooked, and I feel like I needed a bigger plate to cut them properly. The service was a little bit slow. They were busing tables instead when I was trying to pay.

How have we not gone here before? The food was excellent. We started with some baked oysters, then I had the lemon pepper shrimp, and my wife had the lemon pepper grouper. All of the food was cooked perfectly and tasted great. The positions were large. The prices were very reasonable. The staff could not have been nicer. Well definitely be coming back.
