I would not recommend this restaurant. The ladies restroom was disgusting, I will spare the details but I should have walked out then. When I told one of the staff, she said okay. I ordered a fish sandwich and it was very bland, no seasonings at all. My boyfriend ordered the broiled mayflower special and a side of flounder, which the waitress forgot to bring and he was almost done with his meal when she brought it.His food was also very bland and the shrimp were the smallest “Jumbo” shrimp I have ever seen (see pic below). The stuffed crab tasted like pure stove top stuffing, asked about hush puppies and was told they only come with the fried platter, what is a seafood dinner without hush puppies?? The waitress didn’t offer to bring some even for a charge. As for the service, it was slow and if they were not serving tables(there was only 3 other customers in the restaurant) they were busy on their cell phones, and the staff was not very friendly or familiar with the menu items. When we went up to the register to pay the bill, she added a service charge of $1.39 when we asked what it was for and she pointed to a sign at the register which in my option should have been mentioned at the time of order not time of check out. Needless to say we will not be visiting this establishment in the future. Still hungry and will be going to get fast food on the way home.

Upon arriving here on a Friday and noon, there was only one other vehicle here, which suprised me. The restaurant was overall clean, the waitress was friendly, however the service was slow. I ordered the mayflower fried basket, the scallops where great, the stuffed crab pretty good, the fried oysters were mushy with an odd taste. The blooming onion was delicious. The stuffed shrimp tasted like they had been frozen, thawed then refrozen, the loaded baked potato was amazing though.

I probably will not go back there, and would NOT recommend someone to go there.

Stopped in on Saturday 10/1/25 with a friend after meeting in RR. The place was pretty empty except for a couple of 6-8 tops. Was greeted upon entering and seated immediately. After which our server Mya ( who did a wonderful job) greeted our table and took our drink order and dropped of menus. We ordered a couple of appetizers ( the calamari and fried pickles were good) and decided on our entrees ( stuffed shrimp with crab stuffing and stuffed flounder with the same stuffing) with side of mixed veggies. It took quite awhile to receive the entrees but once they arrived we noticed the “crab stuffing” looked just like thanksgiving turkey stuffing with a couple shredded pink strips ( which I would assume was imitation crab meat) and both covered in what appeared to be gravy???. They both were also very undercooked with a mushy texture and a little old bay sprinkled on top. We both tasted a small amount and agreed this indeed was just basic stuffing with a very bland taste and the seafood was so undercooked that you couldn’t even fork it to eat it. We both decided against trying to eat the dishes and immediately asked Mya if she could just remove the otherwise untouched dishes from our bill, she agreed and asked if we wanted to try anything else but we declined. As we were waited we notice another table had ordered the EXACT same dishes and asked we were at the front paying the bill… they returned their plates as well.
Let me say that the BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT was that I asked Mya to ask the kitchen manager exactly what the stuffing was made out of and she returned saying “ the owners daughter took offense and said it’s stuffing “, I would have thought that after getting two plates of $20 food sent back a manager would have come out to talk to us but during our entire time there never even saw manager on floor or doing table touches with the guests. I very rarely eat out these days ( for this very reason) and I can see how this place got a 3.8 rating based on our visit( would have loved to see the BOH, can only imagine what the standards were in the kitchen). The fried fish and other fried dishes looked pretty good but we don’t eat fried food and it’s pretty hard to get fried food wrong, right? The FOH staff appeared to be very young but were really hustling and doing a great job, so I say THANK YOU again to our server Mya

Sorry for long post but wanted to add full details, we wouldn’t return to this establishment

They didn’t give me any utensils or any napkins with my to-go plate. I’m here working from out of town and had to eat my baked potato with my hand. I was 7 miles from the job site and didn’t want to spend another 30 minutes driving back and forth,The food was great though.

We should have known when we walked in, the floors were dirty, the clean salad plate I got had ketchup on it,and not to mention the unclean smell. We ordered the broiled seafood platter, the oysters tasted spoiled, the flounder was all dried out, the whitefish tasted bad, not to mention the grilled shrimp were old and probably left over from lunch. On a positive note, the fried scallops on our BROILED platter were the only things that tasted good. I told our waitress and she didn’t seem alarmed and readily gave me a $3.00 discount . Save your money and eat elsewhere,.

First time at this location. Ordered the jumbo shrimp stuffed with crab mix. Wasn’t sure what the crab mix was going to be. Turns out there was NO actual crabmeat. The mix tasted exactly like stuffing!! It was terrible. The shrimp was nearly raw. Had to send the dish back. Moments later, saw another customer who’d ordered the same dish, sending hers back as well. The manager agreed to take the dish off of the bill only if I sent my dish back to the kitchen. Of course that was done. Wouldn’t eat here again. The shrimp dish was $19.99. I will say the appetizers, fried pickles and calamari were good.

I has not been to the mayflower in about 2 years after last bad experience, was invited to a birthday gathering after being seated the waitress finally came to table after about 20 minutes to ask about our beverages. Then she went back to cleaning off tables. We sit there for an hour waiting for for her to come take our order, she never came finally we had to call her to the table to inform her that we are ready to place our order. We had to wait another hour before our food arrived at the table. Potatoes was cold butter would not melt . Then we had to ask for eating utensil and was told she had to go roll them never bought all of our food that came with the platters, had to ask for condiments and she never offered us any refills. There was 3 young people plus the cook trying to operate the restaurant side. It was a total disaster. We will not be coming back

I was visiting my mom in Skippers, and we decided to hit up Mayflower for lunch. I needed a delectable filling meal in my life. It was myself, my mom, 4 year old son, and 2 year old daughter. We got the blooming onion as an app. My mom and I each ordered the fried 3 item combo. I had clam strips, scallops, and catfish. She had clam strips, jumbo shrimp, and catfish. The kids shared a chicken tenders and fries plate. All of the food came out hot and surprisingly quick being there was only one person working in the front of the house. She is a Rockstar! She even took the time to talk to my 2 year old, calming her down as a tantrum was brewing. I do not remember her name unfortunately. She was hostess, cashier, waitress, bus boy, and psychologist.

The food was amazing all around. The cole slaw on the side makes everything even better. I eat here maybe once or twice a year. It NEVER disappoints!
