Service was friendly and helpful. Had the Rottie and the Surf n Turf. Rottie was good, Surf n Turf wasn’t great. Cold crab meat with warm roast beef wasn’t a good combination for me.

This place has changed so much in the service department. First time in a very long time since we left the D.C. are we are back visiting and oh boy this was a surprise. The location and atmosphere the same lively without been too loud. The service on the other hand not what we expect it. The server either new or inexperienced serving customers the attitude was so dismissive I thought I was an inconvenience for the dude. No introduction, hardly waited the table then to his phone to check status on social media. Food was great as usual but I think today the B team was on deck guiding the ship and it showed. If they can train this servers on how to properly serve their tables and customers it will make the place a winner like it was a few years ago. Unreal the attitude of this server Justin almost like he didn’t wanted to be there and it was the same for every table.

If I could have given our experience zero stars I would have. Saturday night, Feb7th @9pm. Lost Dog doesn’t close until 10pm. Food was good but literally everything else service related was horrible. Bar ignored our drink order (had to walk up and ask about our drinks). No silverware to eat with, nor napkins to use. Other patrons had to get their own “to go” boxes because they couldn’t get the server to come check on them. Started mopping the floor with bleach while we were eating. Bill was incorrect… billed us for a bottle of wine we did not order. Angella O. was our server. Staff standing around the whole time we were there. Avoid at all costs, this use to be a “go to” place but no longer. Sad to see this happen to what was a great place.

This is a cool, relaxing place to hang out with family and friends. It’s down to earth with a wide selection of food, and for those that want suds, they have beer too. Parking is a challenge though so be prepared to drive around the block a few times. Service is very good as well, as you’re made to feel welcome.

After reading the menu and the reviews, I was sure the food would be great. But my party of four thought our sandwiches, individual pizzas, waffle fries and onion rings were mid. Same with the service. The restaurant was cute and reasonably full, so it appears to have loyal patrons.

This was my first visit to Lost Dog Cafe. I was looking for new venues with a good craft beer selection. I had seen this place pop up on my social media and have even driven by their arlington location. Decided to drive down to the Alexandria location. Very cute place with a medium sized bar, several booths and tables, and an outdoor patio. But what makes this place unique is they also a have a retail selection too! And a very decent one at that. The bartender, who seemed like the owner and/or manager, was very friendly and we talked about beer. Good selection on draft and beer came out nice and cold. Didn’t have any food but menu is extensive and they’re supposedly known for their sandwiches. And it’s all for a good cause because they support adopted cats and dogs!

This was a great find in North Old Town!! I was skeptical at first because the website does not truly depict the size of the menu. I was afraid we would be buying deli sandwiches and cans of beer from the market. However they have a very nice bar and dining area. Hope was great at recommending beers and sandwiches after asking a couple questions about our tastes. She was spot on!! They have a wide variety of beers on tap and almost 5 pages of food on the menu. I will definitely be going back fairly regularly.

The red tin tin pizza was slightly above average just looking at the sauce, cheese, and toppings. However, I was not a fan of the crust (weirdly like whole wheat and not crispy or chewy, rather like a dinner roll).

The artichoke spinach dip was really tasty. They put cheese in it as well to add to the combo. I like that they serve it with pita bread in addition to tortilla chips (the chips were kinda stale). Big selection of craft beers.

Lost Dog Cafe never disappoints. I love the food & their rescue mission. From the Sea Dog Salad to vegan pizza, it’s always a hit!
