We went there for drinks on a Sunday afternoon after game day
It was quiet but the NFL games were on and we sat in the patio. Service was great and the beer in tap and cocktails were really good. They have daily specials but we just went with what we wanted.

Good time charlie’s or “chucks” used to be a great place to drink and eat in ann arbor as a student or tourist and it has turned into a online speed system. For almost every event now you need to “reserve a table” on a random app called LineLeap and these tables drop at random times and if you dont download this app and check it every 5 minutes they are all sold out and you just cant go at all. They dont do this every night but they love to do it on their trivia nights. It started with them only doing a few tables for reservation but now every single table was reserved and me and my friends had to go to a different bar, despite getting there TWO HOURS before the trivia. They are doing this while almost every other bar in the world who does a trivia or not is first come first serve which is how it has always been and is the most fair. Why in the world would i download some random app to go play trivia at good tome charlies and if i dont i simply just cant go at all. Might a mention you have to PAY MONEY to reserve these tables which is on top of the already overpriced 8$ beers they serve. I honestly hate writing this review because i have had some great experience at this bar but the past few events i have tried to visit at Charlies have all had this problem and i think it is outrageous they want me to essentially pay an expensive cover to go to a sit down bar. Good Time Charlies, you are not a club, you are a sit down bar that does karaoke and trivia and serves bar food. Know your demographic. I had many friends outside my group that have been running into the same problem and are extremely frustrates the past few months. This needs to change or other bars such as The Brown Jug or Ashleys are going to steal all of your audience because you are being greedy.

I had a terrible experience the last time I went to Good Time Charley’s. Typically, the service is great and the prices are cheap which is why this is an Ann Arbor favorite. However the last time I went, I received my drink in a broken glass. The waiter acted as if nothing was wrong and excepted that we would consume a drink that is a hazard. I’m disappointed that the waiter and bartender would think it’s okay to serve this.

Our server was super friendly and helpful, she did a great job! The food was great specially the pizza bread twist app, Santa Fe salad we’ll really everyone was happy with their order.

After a Michigan Baseball game, I went to Good Time Charley’s for take out and it was great! I used to come here all the time when I was a student back in the day. My food was fresh and delicious! It was a very nice day so I went down to Gallup Park to eat. Going to Good Time Charley’s was a nice walk down memory lane. Many thanks to all and I will be back soon!

Stopped in here for a quick bite kinda late most places were closed. Walked in got my hand stamped past that no one wanted to talk to we ended up asking the bar tender and it was seat yourself. Sat down it took a while to get some service but once we did the bar tender was also our waitress. Ended up a decent experience. The stix were absolutely delicious! The fishbowl was so massive we couldn’t finish it.

Visited here on a Monday night when most bars are closed. Wasn’t busy which suited us fine, loads of ales and cocktails available, didn’t eat there, but the food looked like great.

So it’s thursday night, i’m down on campus, it’s about one a m in the morning and it’s very, very quiet and I found that to be a bit strange, but that’s mainly because I lived on OSU campus for so long. Go blue! So the bar had pretty much emptied out by the time I got there. If it was busy, I don’t know very dark inside and they were singing it up, but still very courteous and kind but one thing that I do have to complain about however, is I ordered a bottle of Budweiser, and I did receive a bottle. However, it was not glass. It was one of those aluminum ones, and it wasn’t very cold. So I do have issues with that. Otherwise, it seemed like an alright place, a lot of TVS. A lot of sports on and they had some music playing a little bit of everything, so That was all right. II would try it again at a different time. Maybe try some food. Get a mixed, drink something like that. It’s got possibility I think
