Reviews
– Cheeseburger – $8.25: One third pound patty cooked medium-well and juicy. Everything was well executed, fresh, and organized. The onion was a bit much, but I took a few layers from the center and it was just right.
– Chips – (free with burger): Standard chips, probably from a bag. I would go with fries instead unless you only want the burger (which was the case for me).
They had HUGE monster cookies for $1.75 when we stopped. They also had cherry pie that day. I wanted to try their malt, but decided against it this time.
– Service: Super friendly and immediate. They had their work well divided and understood. It was table service, but I never received my check at the table. I decided to just walk up to the register and pay, which worked fine. Not sure if that was how they just do it, but that is what I did. It was busy when we stopped, but they were on top of it.
– Atmosphere: Classic diner feel. It looked a bit under impressive on the outside, but the inside was bright, cheerful, cozy, and clean. It was a bit on the smaller side. The table we sat at was a small two person by the front window (one on each side), but it was enough. They also have a diner counter with nine diner stools (used to be ten?) to sit at, which is cool. They also have smaller four person tables. If your party is larger than four, you will need to sit separately as they are all fixed in place.
– Conclusion: Super welcoming diner style restaurant. I’d recommend it for a pleasant and valuable place to eat.
Visited on a Wednesday at 1pm an hour before they closed.
Then, there was the food!! Delicious! My husband and I shared a plate of the special ham hash brown casserole with two eggs and homemade toast. The cherry on top, was the house-made hot sauce. Creamy, savory amazing! For the sweet side, we also split a Monte Cristo which was just divine. Texas toast style French toast sandwiches creamy Swiss and Smokey ham, and came with fresh made strawberry sauce for dipping. Yum!
Such an inviting, delicious diner. Make sure you stop when you’re in town!
