Came here at 12:47pm after maybe 8 minutes we were seated. Its busy, I assume people are getting out from church and having lunch, cool I understand waiting. But having to watch a party of 2 and I think a party of 6 recieve their food after us when we were seated well before they were, is incredibly annoying. I had Baja chicken and my partner had 12 ounce sirloin medium well. Almost coming up to the 1 hour mark they finally gave us our food. Funny part was they slapped a medium well done stick in an obvious medium-medium rare steak. We didnt even dig into our food just boxed it up and left, 0 tip too because our waitress barely came by. He usually gets a well done steak, but last time we were here they gave him a burnt steak. So being a bit mindful he ordered medium well thinking they might slightly over cook it. When we had that one remade it took them around 15 minutes to serve it to him, as I already finish my food. So we were not going to wait again during this visit.
For being a steakhouse the cooks seriously dont know how to cook a steak. On top of that its our 2 year anniversary and didnt want to drive into the city. Maybe next time its worth the 1.5 hr drive so we dont get served horrible food and service.
My wife had the fish tacos they were great as well. We will definitely stop here again.
We chose this place largely because of the blue-cheese-stuffed-olive martinis. They failed to tell us that they do NOT have blue cheese olives when we ordered our drinks. The martinis arrived in rocks glasses which can easily be overlooked. But when we saw the regular olives and questioned it, the response was flatly, “we don’t have those. The menu says we do, but we don’t”. No apology or offer to replace our drink.
We ordered our steaks anywhere from rare to medium. The rare steak barely had pink and the alleged medium chopped (hamburger) steak was medium well (see photo).
This was supposed to be a fun, tasty group dinner and we left with a bad taste in our mouth.
Don’t know if it’s the location in the heart of cattle country or if Fred just has a knack for selecting the best USDA Prime. Whatever it is, I had the tastiest Rib Eye steak I’ve ever eaten and a baked potato that seemed to go on forever.
I’d go there every week if I didn’t live 1,600 miles away. Alas.
