Located in Northampton’s historic Union Station, The Tunnel Bar is a nationally recognized, speakeasy style martini lounge, known for its unique underground train tunnel, extensive selection of award-winning martinis, hand crafted cocktails, and fine libations. Built in 1897, travelers once used the tunnel to board trains at Union Station for far-off destinations and adventures abroad. Today, the tunnel is home to purveyors of fine beverages and unique atmosphere, but all original stone and brickwork circa 1897, remains. Please sit back, relax, – and experience a little piece of history.

A vintage train tunnel from 1896 with original stone & brickwork houses this luxe martini bar.

Very cool concept and location. Truly exquisite to look at and hangout in. Truffle fries were delicious! Ordered the aviation, well done, hard to find, classic, underrated and elegant. Just like the bar. Friendly staff too!

Proper good bar that makes proper good drinks in a proper good setting.

Nothing like sipping on an A+ Vesper or Manhattan in some of the most perfectly broken in leather wingbacks, in a spot that would make blitz-era London weep.

I’ll remember this place for next time I’m blowing through.

Very cool place to have a drink. Keep in mind that it’s not very big inside and the actual Bar only seats about a dozen people. My Wife loved the Espresso Martini.

The Tunnel Bar is an experience. From the low-key, cool atmosphere (stone walls, low lighting, leather chairs), to the delicious tapas (charcuterie is a perfect companion to many of the drinks and the spinach and artichoke dip is outstanding, this place scores on all fronts. Great service, cool vibe, but most importantly their cocktails are second to none.

Went to the bar part of the restaraunt for the first time a couple weeks ago when visiting family, and I’ve got to say, hands down it is my favorite bar that I have ever been to. Incredible ambience inside, and being in a stone tunnel wrapped in what i presume to be mahagony wood with large comfortable leather chairs set up is a wonderful experience. It’s not too loud in there, so it’s a great place to bring some friends, and have a great conversation. Food is top notch and the drinks are amazing as well. Highly recommend the man on fire drink if you like smoked whiskeys or ever wanted to try one. Stand out drink for sure! The service is super professional and fast as well. I forgot the gentleman’s name but our waiter with the cool mustache in the tunnel was very polite, classy, and helpful. Gotta give him a raise, great lad! Overall 10/10 experience, will come here again for christmas

Deuce served us and was phenomenal. Very knowledgeable about drink options and patient while he helped figure out something to try. The Tunnel Bar overall is a very soothing speakeasy atmosphere. We were here before a wedding reception and it was a wonderful experience.

Large selection of delicious cocktails, wines, and whiskeys, etc. There is a small food menu available too. And it’s in a tunnel under an old train station, which is really cool!

I love the cocktails here–they’re incredibly strong! However, the last time I was in here, it was absolutely freezing, and I’ve noticed that before. It doesn’t really match the cozy dark vibe of the bar. It is definitely more like “cold stone cave underground” which I guess is what it technically is!

Enjoying a well crafted cocktail while seated in a leather chair inside of a dimly lit late 1800’s train tunnel was right up my alley. The cocktail menu includes some classics, a few house drinks, and smoked cocktails. Worth the experience.

Absolutely amazing drinks. You’d better make sure you got enough in your wallet cause it’s not cheap. I was up over $200 in an hour and a 1/2. If you can get over the liberal environment It’s a great place.
