What a cool little joint in a small area! The fried chicken was gluten free, so obviously my fiancée ordered the Governor Tso Chicken Sandwich on gluten-free bread. We also got the fried chicken livers, and I got the lamb French dip (which was delicious). The chicken sandwich was quite a bit over-salted, but everything else was delicious and we definitely will come again

Well service was great , Diane the server was fantastic. The food was just ok , some of it like the garlic greens was not , they tasted bitter . The fried baloney sandwich a bit disappointing just a couple thin slices of meat and no taste of smoke . For this to be a Guy F. Restraunt he visited I really expected much better quality . I have been visiting Restraunts he went to all over the U.S. and this one disappointed me .

I loooove this place! Servers are awesome. The food is unique and all the flavors work together so well to create a truly great meal. My fave are the cracked potatoes, especially when they’re liberally seasoned and well coated in the brown butter. Never had potatoes like that, but it’s life changing, especially with the maple thousand island dressing. Don’t skip this place. So worth it.

We stopped in for breakfast. We’ve heard a lot of positive buzz especially after Guy Fieri fearured them on his show.

We purposely got there when they opened so we were sure to get a table. It’s very crowded on the weekends so keep that in mind .

We had the “Big Ohio” and the “Big Steve”. Both were delicious as was the coffee. The sevice was great. Highly recommended.

The lamb French deep was amazing. My wife loved her veggie Bahn mi & we split the bowling alley fries ( piping hot and well seasoned) and the family salad. Very reasonable priced. We will definitely be back

If I could provide 0 stars I would, but the community deserves to know

Very disappointed in the policy’s of a business that should know better and tries to be a staple of the community. Having said my party of 2 is on the way 15 minutes out, and the second person being pregnant. I knew the bar would not work. So getting there early to get a table is an important part of choosing the location. When requesting to sit, as it was busy, so not to have to then be placed at the bar where it is not accessible for someone that is pregnant safely. Was told to have to wait until that person shows up to sit because they “could not sit a single person” even though that person fully made aware they planned to order food, and could not be anywhere but the bar.
And after asking, they immediately sat a party of 2 at the only open table.

When I mentioned this was rude and asked if the gentleman was the owner (expecting him to act like and owner and have a conversation was the intention) they said no it’s not rude and just policy, while confirming this person is the owner.
and then when writing this review on a private device and not showing this owner, he looked over the shoulder very in-appropriately to grab the water on the patron side of the bar, and told me to leave and write the review outside which was a complete invasion of personal privacy and space .

How a company like this has ever stayed in business is beyond real, when they have no issues apparently discriminating against a pregnant patron party, and inappropriate invade personal space.

I hope anyone expecting a considerate or human touch does not expect it from here. Normally this isn’t even something that would be requested outside of the specific circumstances.

And rather than take a moment like a human to discuss when mentioned this seems rude, they asked to leave the premises after violating personal space to spy. They have no signs indicating that people waiting for a table on their phone must leave, this is an invasion of privacy and beyond unprofessional.

Diana was absolutely amazing. She was very sweet, personable, and accommodating, we didn’t have to ask for a thing. Our food was delicious and came out hot. My only complaint is that the bald man with glasses was very rude and uninviting (appeared to be a manager). We visited this location with a party of 8 (including my twin 5 month olds). I entered the restaurant with my small twin stroller and was surprised by how small the dining area was. There was uncertainty if we would he waiting for a different table or sitting at a high top. With trying to figure out how to not block walk ways with the stroller, the man came up to our table and rudely asked “Are you staying or going?” We decided to stay and sit at the high top. I looked at him and apologized for the stroller as I wasn’t aware how small the dining area was and he replied, “Yeah and we get pretty busy during this time.” He then walked away and attempted to move my stroller with my babies in it to broaden the walk way (which I was in the process of doing). During this time there had been no other customers coming in and you could still walk past with the stroller being as close to the table as possible in attempt to clear the area/come up with a plan on where to put it once settled. This man should shadow Diana, she was great and he could learn something from her!

Everything one might imagine a quaint, downtown diner style restaurant to be. Attentive service and delicious scratch made food. Outdoor seating is available. Walk off your meal in the nearby small town shops.

This place is excellent! From the coffee to the food, the service, and the attention to detail. I’ve been there three times and it never fails. The only thing to keep in mind is that it’s packed and you might have to wait a few minutes, which is worth it.

If you’re looking for an amazing dining experience in Milford, Ohio, look no further than The Governor Restaurant! We had an absolutely fantastic meal here, and every bite was perfection.

We ordered cheeseburgers, fries, and Reubens, and they were all cooked to perfection. The burgers were juicy, flavorful, and served on a perfectly toasted bun with fresh toppings. The Reuben was outstanding—loaded with tender corned beef, tangy sauerkraut, and melted Swiss cheese on beautifully grilled rye bread. The fries were crispy and golden brown, the perfect side to our meals.

But the real showstopper? The Plain Skillet Pancake! It was absolutely to die for—fluffy on the inside, slightly crisp on the edges, and so delicious that we’re already planning a return visit just for that. It was hands down one of the best pancakes we’ve ever had!

The service was also top-notch. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making for a perfect dining experience.

If you haven’t been to The Governor yet, you’re missing out. Highly recommend this hidden gem for a meal you won’t forget!
Thank you Adam for your fantastic service!
