My friends & I stop here every July for lunch on our annual trip to fill up on some grub & drinks on our way to Higgins Lake.
Never that busy. Walk in & seat yourself at the bar or at a table. The staff is always friendly & greet you quickly. Feel free to ask them questions. Usually no wait time.
The atmosphere has always been pleasant, not loud, although there is a juke box if you want to hear some music .
They have a good selection of TVs and usually have sports on at the bar. There is also beer on tap.
You can bring your family here, this is not a hole in the wall type of place. The whole place including the restrooms have always been cleanly when we dine here.
Alot of variety on the menu with alot of choices including appetizers. Drink menu also good with plenty of options under $20.
The pizza was good . Not heavily breaded. You can also get the thin crust. Either style is good with a plentiful amount of toppings. The loaded baked potato is huge & packed with toppings! The steamed Cod is also a great choice . (See attached photos….)
I would recommend stopping here on your way to northern Michigan. You won’t regret it
Let me start off by saying we have been coming here for years. The servers are always kind and attentive to us and we are never rude to them, we do understand how restaurants can have good and bad days.
Lately anytime we have come in here it has taken 45 minutes to over an hour to get our drinks. We came in last night to watch the band, and while there were people in there it isn’t the busiest we’ve ever seen it. We watched tables get their drinks who came in after us but that’s because I spotted the other servers making those drinks while bartender was gone.
Our server let us know numerous times that she was waiting on the bartender to make the drinks, she was trying her absolute best as the servers usually do when we come here. We went up to the bar at some point to see if our drinks were done, or if we could talk to someone ourselves, and no one was up there. This happened a few times. Where are the bartenders at? hit or miss on the timeliness be prepared to sit around and wait for a long time
