Came in on Saturday and was so glad I did because they have a special Saturday-only menu! I ordered the lechón jibarito with a side of sweet plantains and everything was absolutely delicious. The pork was flavorful and tender, the jibarito was perfectly made, and the sweet plantains were the perfect touch.

Service was quick and efficient, even though there can definitely be a long line of people. It’s popular for a reason! Totally worth the wait — I’ll definitely be coming back.

I came here ready for some solid Puerto Rican food, but left wondering if I’d accidentally paid for a museum exhibit. The $16 jibarito had one piece of steak — not a steak sandwich, more like a steak sighting. Blink and you’ll miss it.

Since the place is “known for its chicken,” I tried that too. Honestly? Just plain chicken. Nothing wrong with it, but nothing that made me understand the hype either. The arroz con gandules? A little undercooked, dry, and about as exciting as unbuttered toast.

The saving grace? The beans — those were amazing, rich, flavorful, the kind of beans that make you rethink your life. And the tostones? Crispy perfection. If I ever come back (which, let’s be real, I probably won’t), it’ll be for beans and tostones only. Everything else can stay on display in the “meh” section.

Authentic Puerto Rican flavors at their best! I had the steak jibarito and it was outstanding—the meat was juicy, and they really pulled through by making the plantain thin and perfectly crunchy. The arroz con gandules was flavorful and tasted just like home. Plus, they have the essentials like Malta and Champagne Cola. 10/10. Definitely will be coming back to explore the menu because everything looks good.

This place is a fantastic find, and I was blown away by their Jibarito. Having tried one in Puerto Rico, I can say this version is on the exact same level of deliciousness. While the flavor profile is its own, it’s incredibly tasty and truly does justice to the classic sandwich.
The restaurant itself is a decently sized, straightforward spot that’s clearly very popular. It was bustling with orders, and while that meant service was a bit delayed, the staff was working incredibly hard. They were so patient, taking the time to answer all our questions about the menu despite how busy they were.
Be sure to ask about their daily specials, as they have great deals on certain days. I’ll definitely be back for that Jibarito!

The steak jibarrito was the best sandwich I’ve had in the city. It really is that good. I’m a sucker for grilled onions, and they have a garlic sauce and a hot sauce that both complement the sandwich very well. The service was fast and friendly and my only complaint is that I live too far away to come every week.

Steak was very seasoned and moist, some of the best steak i ever had. Food was so amazing i left my wallet in there and they held it on for me to pick it up the next day. Very nice, wholesome people.

The best Jibaritos in the USA. I always get the steak jibarito, arroz con gandulez, parcha (passion fruit) to drink, and sweet plantains! I come here once a week.
