This is a small eatery, but a wonderful place to enjoy authentic Japanese cuisine. I absolutely loved the chicken karaage, and one of the best things about this place is that you can try multiple ramen options because you can choose a half serving, which is a great way to try different flavors in one meal.

Since the restaurant is quite small, I would recommend making a reservation in advance through Google to secure your seat. We visited on a weekday and had pre-booked our table, and even then, the place was almost full.
The food preparation was impressively quick, and the ambiance was lively and pleasant.

Overall, I had a great experience and truly enjoyed my visit. If you appreciate authentic Japanese food, this is definitely a restaurant worth trying.

4 visits to this place and loved the whole experience each time.

The food is amazing.

They first welcome with you a warm traditional greeting by all the staff of the restaurant.

The atmosphere is very Japanese and I love that about the place.

The food arrived quickly after placing the order. Since it’s a half open kitchen we can see the food being prepared right in front of us.

The following are my go to items / recommendations

1. Kuuraku Ramen – Pork
2. Teppan Gyoza – Non veg
3. Tompei Yaki

I would say it is expensive but expected out of a place located in bridage road.

Outstanding Food & Warm Hospitality

Recently visited Kuuraku and had a fantastic experience. The hospitality was excellent warm, attentive, and very welcoming, which instantly set the tone for a great meal.

We tried several dishes and every single one was impressive. The Karaage Set was perfectly crispy and flavourful, while the Chicken Nanban Set was rich, comforting, and well-balanced. The Ramen and Gyoza Set was a great combination, with the ramen being deeply satisfying and the gyoza cooked just right. The Kuuraku Ramen Chicken stood out with its hearty broth and tender chicken, and the Dashimaki Tamago was soft, delicate, and beautifully seasoned.

Overall, Kuuraku delivers authentic flavours, high-quality food, and exceptional hospitality. A must-visit for anyone who loves Japanese cuisine. Highly recommended, and definitely looking forward to visiting again! ⭐️

Arguably best yakitori and gyoza in town. Cooked to perfection, fresh and good quality ingredients. Ramen broth is concentrated yet not overpowering. The chashiu was too lean for my liking. Ramen noodle has good texture but odour of lye was tat too strong. Wash all down with fresh lime soda is must. Must visit and make sure to reserve table in advance. It’s always full.

Kuuraku Japanese Restaurant in Bangalore offers a warm and authentic dining experience for anyone who loves Japanese cuisine. The restaurant has a cosy and inviting ambience with traditional décor that makes you feel like you’re in Japan. The menu features a wide range of dishes including sushi, ramen, tempura, and yakitori, as said all prepared with fresh ingredients and balanced flavours. The sushi rolls are especially delicious and beautifully presented. The staff are polite, and ready to explain dishes to first-time visitors. Their grilled items can be considered. Prices are slightly higher for the quality and portion size offered. Whether you’re a Japanese food lover or trying it for the first time, Kuuraku is a spot to explore Japanese taste.
The décor and music create a traditional vibe, and the staff are polite and welcoming. Their sushi, ramen, and yakitori are among the highlights—fresh, flavourful, and beautifully presented. The chicken skewers and ramen broth stand out for their taste. However, some dishes feel slightly overpriced compared to portion sizes, and during busy hours, service can get a bit slow. The seating area is cosy but somewhat cramped, especially on weekends. While the overall dining experience is pleasant, the menu could include a few more vegetarian options to appeal to a wider audience. Despite these small drawbacks, Kuuraku is a place in Bangalore to enjoy Japanese flavours.

I visited this place for the second time, mainly because my first experience was absolutely amazing. Everything I tried on my first visit was spot on, which is why I was genuinely excited to come back.

This time, knowing how difficult it is to get a seat, I made a prior reservation and reached the restaurant 5 minutes before my booking time. Despite that, we were made to wait for almost 30 minutes, and eventually were given a very uncomfortable table. We had to repeatedly explain that we had a booking and arrived on time, but there was zero courtesy or acknowledgment from the staff.

Coming to the food—sadly, this is where the experience went downhill. The only decent dish was the Spicy Salmon Roll, which was good. Everything else was a major letdown. Even the starters disappointed us. We ordered two chicken starters—Momo Stamina and Teriyaki Mayo—and both were below average.

Thinking it might just be a one-off, I reordered something I loved the first time: Yakitori Don. Unfortunately, even that tasted bad this time. The mango beer, which I was curious about, tasted quite strange and not enjoyable at all.

To end the meal, we ordered their bestseller dessert—Annin Tofu (Mango Mousse)—and it was honestly pathetic.

Overall, the second visit completely ruined the great impression I had from my first experience. It left a bitter taste—quite literally—and made me question how inconsistent the quality and service can be. Sadly, this visit made me forget how much I once loved this place.

Visited this place due to the online hype it had and honestly it didn’t not disappoint. Visited this placed as a group so although we didn’t get seated near their live cooking counter, we got a warm cozy nook just for us which made the perfect ambience for a group dining.
Coming to the food we ordered prawn tempura maki, garlic mayo yaki, ninnikuma, yakitori don, kuuraku signature ramen and teppan gyoza. Personally loved every dish we ordered but only the ramen felt a little weaker in terms of umami compared to the others, but nonetheless it was a really fun dining experience. would definitely visit again!

Visited Kuuraku recently and had a good experience overall. The food was fairly average, but a few dishes really stood out — I especially enjoyed their sushis, teriyaki chicken, and Annin tofu, which were flavorful and well-prepared.
The ambience is cozy and warm, making it a great spot for a relaxed meal. The staff were polite, attentive, and helpful throughout, which definitely added to the experience.
A good place to visit if you’re in the mood for a calm dining atmosphere and a few standout Japanese dishes.

Tried the Kuuraku Signature Ramen and Prawn Fried Sushi — both absolutely on point. The ramen had deep, layered flavor with the perfect broth-to-noodle balance, and the sushi was crisp, fresh, and rich in texture. The place carries a vintage Japanese vibe warm lighting, wooden tones, and a cozy. The chefs and waiters were full of energy, interacting with guests and keeping the mood lively. Genuine food, great energy, and an experience that feels truly authentic.

A small Japanese restaurant. Ambience is good, so was the food. Nothing extra ordinary. Tables are very close to each other since it is a tiny place. The staff shouts something whenever someone enters and otherwise as well. If you are someone who is sensitive to sounds then that would annoy you too much. The service wasn’t very satisfactory too.
