I was then brought to the counter and pulled into an unnecessary conversation with a manager—something I did not request—filled with vague and confusing explanations before anyone even ran my players card.
Once my card was finally checked, I was told:
I had a free breakfast buffet, but it was no longer valid because it ended at 11:00 AM, and it was now 10:54 AM. Last I checked, 10:54 AM is still before 11:00 AM.
I also had an all-day buffet offer, but according to the cashier, it was not valid between 11:00 AM and 12:00 PM—despite the time still being 10:54 AM, six minutes before 11:00.
So despite having two valid buffet offers, neither could be used. The explanations were contradictory, poorly communicated, and lacked any clear or consistent policy. I could also hear multiple guests in line dealing with the same confusion, making it clear this is a systemic issue, not an isolated one.
I ultimately paid $24.99, after initially being told the price would be $36.99, which further highlights the disorganization.
Once inside, the buffet was less than half full, yet I was restricted from choosing my seat and directed to an awkward area next to the server station with constant foot traffic. Despite ample open seating, solo diners appear to be treated as an inconvenience, while couples and groups are prioritized.
As for the food, it is thoroughly average. This may appeal to someone unfamiliar with buffets or casino dining, but compared to well-run Vegas buffets, the selection and quality are unremarkable and do not justify the price or the hassle.
Unfortunately, this experience follows a pattern. About six months ago, I made a reservation because the buffet advertises that reservations are required. I arrived 10 minutes early, yet was still instructed to wait in the regular line while walk-ins were actively being seated. I waited nearly 40 minutes before being allowed in, which completely defeats the purpose of a reservation.
Between the failure to honor comps, inconsistent timing rules, poor communication, and meaningless reservations, this buffet consistently feels disorganized and unprofessional.
Two stars is generous. The recurring issues point to a lack of training, clear policies, and accountability—and that is the real problem. I’ll stick with Pechanga, where comps are honored and patrons are not treated like a disturbance.
Lippys’ positive attitude and professionalism stood out and elevated our entire dining experience. It’s rare to find customer service this thoughtful and consistent, especially in a busy buffet setting. She is a true asset to Serrano Buffet, and we look forward to coming back because of her. Highly recommend asking for Lippys if you get the chance
11/7/2025 = 7:00PM = 3 Star = Food are great here but the problem here , you need to have an appointment every time you dine in, and need to make usually 3 or 4 days before specially on weekends, NO APPOINTMENT, NO ENTRY .
In addition to lobster, the buffet offered a wide array of other seafood options, including, shrimp, clams, and oysters, as well as a selection of sides like roasted vegetables, mashed potatoes, and fresh salads. Everything was consistently fresh, and the flavors were well balanced.
Desserts and ice cream are also very delicious.
I would highly recommend this buffet, my advise is to make reservations ahead of time.
