Old-school landmark for red-sauce Italian food including housemade pasta & locally renowned salad.

What a great home style Italian restaurant in Little Italy. Great pictures of celebrities on the wall as you come in. Good little bar, with a hard working bar tender. Our server was average, the food was disappointing. Average at best, not what I was expecting from Little Italy.

To start off with what I believe are the clear positive aspects of this long standing restaurant, the service was impeccable and the servers were upbeat and kind. With this restaurant being more than 70 years old, the history and the ambiance were both naturally stupendous, and simply being there gives you a wonderful feeling, especially since you might just be supporting the entire neighborhood. Moving on to the food, it was great but slightly overrated and not as authentic as you would expect, sadly. With that, please note that the food was still exceptional and worth paying for, especially when you pair this with the fact that you are in one of the last remaining original Italian restaurants in the area. In conclusion, I would give the service, atmosphere, and history all 5 stars, except for the food, which is unquestionably made up for by all the other features and characteristics of the restaurant itself.

This restaurant felt like home! I remembered going as a child and decided to revisit as an adult on my trip to Baltimore. Everything about Sabatinos was fantastic. The atmosphere feels like your in your Italian grandparents house. The staff were extremely friendly and even though we showed up a half hour before our reservation they seated us right away. Service here was so quick, but it didn’t at all feel rushed! Our waitress Linda brought us fresh water and continued to keep our water roped off through the meal. We ordered a cherry lime soda cocktail and a white sangria to start. The cherry lime soda was incredible It tasted like a rich black cherry soda extremely refreshing. The sangria was equally refreshing and they seem to have a VERY LARGE selection of wine. Linda brought us bread as well and the bread was massive, soft and clearly fresh. We placed our order for Tortellini in the tortellini sauce and eggplant Parmesan. The food came out before I could finish my first slice of bread! Oh my goodness I can’t explain how deeply delicious and rich with flavor the tortellini sauce was with peas carrots mushrooms it. The tortellini itself was so delicious and the portion was massive! The eggplant Parmesan was also phenomenal and came with a side of pasta. On our reservation we noted it was our anniversary and before we left they surprised us with a brownie and candle and wished us a happy anniversary! This meal truly made our trip worth it and I will absolutely be coming back!

I’ve been going to “Sabs” for my entire life (33 years). And every single time I go, it’s the same- which I think is the biggest compliment in the world. From the very beginning of your visit, you feel welcome. The staff is so friendly and welcoming and they are always happy to see you and have you in the space. The drinks – ESPECIALLY THE CHIANTI – are incredible. And the food, oh my god the food. You literally cannot go wrong with a single thing on the menu. A few of my favorites are the bookie salad, the calamari, the ravioli, the spaghetti in oil, the fettuccine, the lasagna, and don’t ever forget the tiramisu!
Sabs is the best Little Italy has to offer. I’ll never go anywhere else!

The food here is impeccably delicious. There is a unique, old-school flavor here that reminds me of all the traditional restaurants I’ve visited in Italy. This is by far one of the best in the area. My table had their clams and handmade pastas. Thr serving size is very generous. There are many seats available, music in the background is soothing, and the service was outstanding. Everything was topnotch and pleasant. Highly recommended.

This was by far some of the best homemade Italian food I’ve ever had. Was here on a layover for work and it was just absolutely amazing. Tina, my waiter recommended my entree and dessert and I couldn’t have been happier with the choices. Baked Ziti and Lemonceilo cake were just so good. Atmosphere was amazing got myself as a single diner a little room to myself with a Christmas Tree and prompt service and food came out fresh and out quickly.
Absolutely if I come back to the area will go here again.

I’ve been coming to Sabatino’s for over 50 years. I haven’t been there in about 8 years or so and I needed a Bookmaker fix. My wife and I braved the terrible conditions and had lunch there this past Thursday. We arrived 11:30 and waited about 5mins for someone to greet us and show us to our table. Not the warm greeting I have been accustomed to receiving. Unfortunate. Then our server arrived 5mins later. I won’t name her, because it could have been an off day, but she was rude and clearly didn’t want to be there. Now I accustomed to the old no nonsense yet friendly hon’s that have always waited on me over the years. This was not that experience. Unfortunate. While attempting to order she literally told us rudely, “I don’t care”, being dismissive of our dietary needs! Insane. We pushed through and ordered the large Bookmaker salad and eggplant parm to split. Food came out fast. Finally something good. The eggplant parm was excellent as always and my favorite dish. As for the Bookmaker, good but also disappointing. Portion was good with plenty of shrimp, cheese, salami… all the yummy things. But the signature dressing was not up to standard. It was not the powerful delicious aggressive dressing I have craved my whole life but more a weak substitute! Disappointing. Hopefully just an off day. I’ll give them another chance of course. I’ve loved this place too much for too long! Hoping for a better more familiar experience next time.

First time trying Sabatinos and really liked everything. It has the feel of an old time Italian restaurant. The service was great. The food was delicious. I had the chicken parmigiana. It was cooked perfectly! the fettuccine was a great consistency and the red sauce was fresh, vibrant, and balanced. One of the best marinara sauces I’ve ever tried. Couldn’t have been a better experience!

I was really disappointed. A co-worker used to bring me eggplant Parmesan from Sabatino’s 20 years ago and I LOVED it. I graduated from Strayer University at CFG Arena and wanted to go to Sabatino’s for my graduation dinner. I was so disappointed and I won’t be going out of my way to go there again. Oh well…
