This was my first time here and I was on lunch from work. The place was clean, the worker was polite, and the food was delicious! The food was neatly in its containers, unlike other places. The food tasted so fresh. I ate it so fast I forgot to take a picture, but believe me when I say it looked as good as it tasted !! Delicious!! I will definitely be coming back!

The food was excellent and everything was very fresh and really tasty. The only negative would be that it wasn’t explained that the limited time lamb would be such a different in price. It took an $11 small plate to $16, and 2 small plates then became $40 with drinks, which I wasn’t expecting. Other than that, the food really was great and I will go back, just not for the lamb.
Edit: I revisited this restaurant quite a few times and have been impressed with the consistency of the chicken platter, so I’m editing my review to 5 stars because everything has been really tasty. Keep up the good work Halal Guys!

I tried the beef gyro platter from The Halal Guys, and it did not disappoint. The beef was perfectly seasoned, tender, and full of flavor. The portion size was generous, with plenty of rice and fresh salad. Even without the red sauce, the white sauce alone tied everything together and made the platter rich and satisfying. Overall, it was filling, tasty, and definitely worth it. I’d order it again.

I had an incredible experience at Halal Guys in Princeton, NJ. The food was delicious, the service was exceptional, and the atmosphere was inviting. My boy friend came here for the first time today and this location was super clean, the store manager John was super welcoming, helpful, and funny! The whole team at this location overall was very knowledgeable and performer and exceptionally as a team, providing amazing service!
And the food was fresh, delicious, and huge portions! I will def be back here. I also appreciate their story starting out as a small food truck on a street corner.

My husband visited the place today and was stereotyped by a middle-aged Middle Eastern gentleman simply because he wanted both falafel and a beef gyro.. man was tired of the usual beef gyro and wanted something different. The server even pretended not to understand his accent(Indian)—FYI, he was born and raised here.
It was shocking, especially since we’ve encountered similar situations in places like Virginia and Texas, but never expected this at a halal spot—and that too in New Jersey. We just laughed all the way back ‘HOME’.

The food was just as I remember it from the city, except the portion of it is greater in the original spot. Generous portioning of rice is important in order to match the price on the menu.
The guys on the team seemed to be on a scramble with the orders. The mobile orders were not being prepared in sync with the in store orders as they should be. The customers were waiting longer than expected for their Mobile orders. Their order tickets kept on piling up on the side as the server kept on helping with the in store orders. There were enough employees in store to designate someone to fulfill mobile orders. Please huddle up as a team and solve this issue.
The Ice Tea and Lemonades are a great addition. However, there were no toppings or ice in the drink. Therefore they looked nothing like the picture on the banner. Please correct!
I know this is your second Friday at Lawrenceville. But please improve on the Quantity of food, and the Quality of Mobile orders, and the drinks. I highly recommend your food as always. God Bless!

So delicious! I am so thankful that I don’t need to drive up to East Brunswick for this anymore! The beef gyro platters are, as always, delicious. I love to get an extra pita with it and eat it like a taco
I wasn’t a huge fan of the limited zesty lamb, it was a little dry and not as good as the previous limited spicy lamb.
I could go on about the platter as a whole though: beef gyro meat: tender, juicy, flavorful; lettuce and tomato: crisp and fresh; rice: so addictively tasty; white and hot sauce: utter perfection.
Besides the food, this place was definitely swamped for the grand opening, but the team was handling the crowd very efficiently and quickly. The line was literally out the door but it moved quickly. It was super clean and smelled great. Great job overall!

Got beef & chicken halal platters, chipotle hummus, mint lemonade and baklava. The meat was perfectly cooked, great texture. Flavored lemonades are amazing, not overpowering (and that’s difficult to do with mint). Pitas could have been toasted longer, and while the baklava had the perfect amount of honey sweetness, it was a bit small. The portions were good (less meat than expected with the meal vs. other halal places, could have used 1 or 2 scoops more). I like that they put the sauce on the side for you to season as you desire.
My one gripe is that the white sauce weirdly tasted like mayo. I think the hummus did too. It was unexpected and I am not a fan.
Other than that, it was clean, quick, and the waitstaff was nice. I’d order from here again.
