We had a gift card & wanted to get it used as the weather was gorgeous to be on an outing. We went to Applebees, Freeport, IL.
We had a server named Ericka & she was fantastic! She helped us with our ordering & was so kind & friendly. We were very glad to have her be our server. Our food was absolutely Delicious & fixed just right. So we feel the chef did an excellent job too! This was around 2 this afternoon. Thank you so much to the chef & to Ericka. Both deserve to be thanked for their great service. You don’t know how much that means to a customer. It certainly meant a lot to us. We will come again!!

We got to have Emma as our server for dinner and she really made our night. Even though she was very busy, she stopped by often and made sure all our needs were met and that we were comfortable. The food was delicious and prepared perfectly to order.

Absolutely ridiculous! Ordered 2 burgers and honey pepper chicken with four cheese Mac via curbside. Waited nearly an hour after told our food was ready through the website and received it cold. One of the burgers came with 5 fries and a cold chicken sandwich. My chicken was barely tossed in sauce. Noodles cold and dry. Pathetic! Extremely disappointed. There is a reason we haven’t been back in years. Thought maybe things changed but nope. Don’t waste your hard earned money here.

The establishment itself seemed decent enough. However, the hostess seemed confused when we asked for a booth seat. There wasn’t many people seated and there were plenty of tables available.. Even when considering social distancing with seating every other table is in play there were numerous booths available. She eventually was going to seat us at the booth closest to the door but when doing so our future server walked past and said something about sitting there that was both rude and uncalled for. I asked the hostess if she really said what I thought I heard… and after asking 3 times, I was eventually told yes. Not wanting to sit and eat at an establishment that clearly didn’t want our service, we left. Too many other places in Freeport to eat to have to deal with that. Returned on Mother’s day with my wife and sons and had a similarly bad experience.
Update… we decided to give them another try considering a considerable amount of time had past. I can say we had a much better experience. Even though the service was slow and it took almost an hour to get our dinners on a day it wasn’t even busy… the food was good and the drinks were tasty. Unfortunately the decent priced $5.99 drinks were yummy but lacking of much alcohol. We could of each had a dozen and left without being affected.

Ordered online for pick up, everything was fine with that, it was ready pretty quickly but when I got home and reached in the bag to get my broccoli chicken Alfredo and four cheese Mac and cheese all of the sauce from both had leaked out of the containers into the bag so we both had dry noodles.

My husband loves the Mushroom Swiss Burger from Applebee’s, and this Applebee’s location did a great job on the burger. It was easy to place the order online, park in the pickup spots on the side of the building, and have my meal brought to my car. Someone came out to my car to see if they could help me before I could even let them know I had arrived. Service was quick, and friendly. Everything was prepared perfectly as I ordered online. There is a nice patio location at this Applebee’s for outdoor dining.

Maddie was my server tonight and she was very amazing! Every time I come to this restaurant I will sit in this section to have her as a server. She made sure we were taken care of as well as made sure everything was good. She made all of us smile and stopped by to have a short conversation here and there. It made us feel good to have a server like her.

Ordered a double cheeseburger, ordered it medium rare. It was si burnt you couldn’t even bite into it. My 2 boys were done eating their meals before I received another one. Still had to pay full price for our meals. So I watched them eat, then they had to watch me eat. Paid $15.00 for a burger and fries, the burger was so small it looked like a kids meal. Sad
