I’ve never been here before but it’s walking distance from my house so I ordered it for delivery. I ordered at 9:30 they closed at 10. We ordered tamale, taco, arroz con leche. I guess they make their arroz con leche differently. It was a cup of milk with a tablespoon of rice. The chicken taco was super dry. The entre meat was so tough that I couldn’t chew it. But maybe this restaurant just does everything differently than I’m used to.
Also, no sauce or napkins and utensils.

The food was phenomenal! My first time there they did not have all of their tamale offerings, but it was so good that I will need to go back!

First time at La Mixteca and I see why everyone raves about it! Azul was super sweet!! She was so friendly with great recommendations, and Karla was super kind too. I tried the tamales plate and 3 tacos—everything was delicious. Can’t wait to come back!

As a customer, this experience is unacceptable and inhumane. The temperature inside this restaurant is freezing, well below normal conditions. It is impossible to enjoy a meal when the dining area feels like it’s below zero.
What is even more alarming is seeing employees forced to work in these conditions, reportedly at temperatures around –8 to –10 degrees, without proper heating. This is not only uncomfortable, but dangerous for both workers and customers.
This situation has clearly gone out of control. I strongly urge the owners and management to take immediate action and fix the heating system. If this issue is not resolved, it will be reported to OSHA for unsafe working conditions.
No business should operate this way. Basic human safety and dignity must come first.

I eat here so often that it’s borderline embarrassing. Seriously, I crave their amazingly cheap taco plate at least once a week for under $12.
They also serve breakfast all day.
Large portions for the price and always consistently cooked.
There is always a place to sit and it’s cozy, open, and bright. Super clean for the amount of customers and families visiting.
You will always see families here and their food is pure comfort.

The parking situation is terrible. There is no ample parking since it’s next to a gas station. We had to park in the shopping complex next to it, which isn’t adjacent to the restaurant building.
The restaurant size is spacious. It wasn’t busy on a Friday afternoon during lunch. Our food came out quickly, and the cashier was friendly. The drinks are self-serve. The food is average at best. Nothing really “wowed” me. It wasn’t terrible, but it also isn’t a place I’d come out of my way to visit again.

It’s hard to rate them. The food is great. 9/10. But the price point is way too high. The tamales are delicious but small and $4 EACH. The rice and beans are super yummy, but not worth the price. The tacos hit so bomb, but again, $4 for a taco???

First off the customer service was TOP tier, they were very friendly, sweet and most of all professional. Their environment was quiet and peaceful. Their food was a good decent portion and it was DEFINITELY affordable . The arroz con leche is the best and the horchata is fresh and delicious. I went during breakfast hours and food is served quickly so there is no wait line to dine in ! I will definitely come again

Hot food hot and cold food cold .. this is a mantra I live by and they have this.. recently they added margaritas and it took me a year to try them and I’m here to tell you far better than anything in the area. It’s become routine to find in once a month and have a few because I n longer live in the state. But of course the best margaritas I’ve had in my life would be somewhere I use to live.. loll shrug shoulders.. I’m back today for 2 months and at least 2 weeks out of the month they will get sick of seeing me.. because somehow these drinks are detoxing and re-toxing in a good way.. so I have to guess their using fresh ingredients.. I’ll miss these ladies
