One of our favorite Indian restaurants! We’ve been here a couple times and the food and service quality are consistently great. The owner came over to chat with us and was so sweet. Easy parking situation, very decently-priced food, everything came out piping hot and fresh. We’ve loved the mega dosa (lives up to its name! It’s bigger than the average giant paper dosa), Madras coffee, corn pepper fry, spring dosa, paniyaram, and kesari. Absolutely will continue coming back to support this literal mom-and-pop shop.

Authentic Banana Leaf Feast – A Perfect Pongal Celebration!!!
We visited Samburna for their special Pongal sit-down banana leaf meal, and it was an amazing experience. We tried both the Veg Pongal Thali and the Non-Veg Pongal Thali.
For the non-veg option, they offered chicken, fish, and mutton—we went with the mutton, and it was absolutely great. The highlight for us was definitely the Paruppu Poli; it was such a unique twist and something we haven’t seen served recently. It was definitely a hit!
If you are looking for authentic flavors and a great festive atmosphere, I highly recommend checking this place out.

I had an absolutely delightful experience here enjoying the banana leaf feast for Pongal. Every item tasted authentic—I truly felt transported back to Tamil Nadu. The fish curry was Kerala-style and excellent. The idiappam, vada, vegetables, and even the buttermilk were all delicious and reminded me of home.
I would love to visit again. I do agree with some of the comments about the service being a bit slow; however, the taste of the food more than makes up for it. The owner, Regina, was very friendly and made us feel great.

Okay! Wow! First off Sam, the owner introduced himself immediately and began explaining the menu – asking what/if we were familiar with in Indian cuisine. He kindly took time to explain several of the dishes they are known for and the service was incredible.
Saji helped to serve our table and was very kind and timely with everything. The wait staff were amazing.
The food… when I say Dosa craving satisfied! I mean overly satisfied. Can’t wait to bring friends and family here. The Masala Dosa we asked for it to be crispy (they can serve it soft if that’s what you prefer). The sambar and chutneys with the dosa were phenomenal. We loved it. Rank that as our #1 from here
Next the Thalapakatti Goat Biryani. YUM! I have never had this – but Sam had us convinced. I would’ve finished it but the portions are enough for 2-3 people comfortably.
Chicken chettinad – you taste every bit of fresh spice in that. We ate it with the Malabar Parotta. Jeez – warm and delicious spices. It also already comes served with rice – so you don’t NEED the parathas. But trust me you WANT the parathas with this.
Finally we got the idiyyapam with coconut milk. This was tasty. And a great option if you like mild dishes. Steamed-stringy rice cakes. The tempered warm coconut milk curry reminded me of East Asian style curries.
We also got a mango lassi to pair with the food. Don’t miss it! It was delicious.
Overall this place is a must! Go for the friendly attitudes – stay for the delicious food.

We have been to samburna multiple times and recently for their banana leaf festival.
Pros: Some of their curries are really good and flavorful. Banana leaf festival food was tasty and good menu. Appreciate that they have a kids menu.
Cons: Service is absolutely terrible. Waiters take ages to get to you for your order and even longer to get out the actual order. Every time we have been here I have had to request multiple times for my food to be served. And they always mess up in serving too. Got the wrong curries in the banana leaf festival and they also missed serving some items listed on the menu.
Despite receiving our food so late, owner lady asked us to finish soon because there were 5 parties waiting for a table. Absolutely ridiculous!
Their mutton biryani is terrible. Just chunks of flavorless meat in flavorless rice.
Though they have a kids menu, the Sambhar -chutney served for kids is too spicy for kids to handle.
Overall I do not recommend this place.

I recently had the absolute pleasure of dining at Samburna Restaurant, and I can confidently say it was one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a long time! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere felt warm, welcoming, and authentically inviting. The restaurant is clean, beautifully maintained, and has a cozy vibe that makes you want to sit, relax, and truly enjoy your meal.Let’s talk about the food — simply outstanding! The dosa was perfectly made — thin, crispy, and golden on the outside while remaining soft and flavorful inside. The texture was spot-on, and it paired beautifully with the chutneys and sambar. You can immediately tell it’s made fresh with care and attention to detail. The chicken curry was absolutely phenomenal. The flavors were rich, deep, and perfectly balanced. The spices were blended beautifully — not overpowering, but full of authentic taste that lingers in the best way possible. The chicken was tender, juicy, and cooked to perfection. Every bite was comforting and satisfying. And the naan — soft, fluffy, and fresh out of the oven! It was the perfect companion to the chicken curry, soaking up all that delicious sauce. Lightly crisp on the edges and pillowy inside, exactly how great naan should be.What truly sets Samburna apart, though, is the owner, Sam. He is incredibly kind, attentive, and passionate about his restaurant. You can see how much he cares about his customers and the quality of the food. He takes the time to make sure everyone feels welcomed and satisfied, very rare you find owners doing good. This shows his passion for business

OMG. One of the most delicious South Indian food I have ever eaten in the US. Most of the dishes carry authentic taste which will directly take you to South India in just one bite. I’ll be a regular provided they maintain their taste and quality of food.
We ate rasam (absolutely delicious, it woke up all our senses lol), thalicha dosa (it was good to try at least once, something different), malabar parotta (NGL hands down one of the best parotta I had ever — only second to one I had in Kerala) and veg kurma (it was very good).
To finish it all, I had the best South Indian buttermilk. The buttermilk I had was oozing with madras tadka flavour, perfectly tangy (usually comes with slightly sour curd) and spicy. So so good!

We love their Chicken Thalapakatti perfectly spiced even my 4 year old loves it. and their parotta with gurthu vankaya is the best. Also try their prawns masala which goes so well with parotta. The staff always checks on us and makes us feel comfortable and are attentive. Definitely will visit again

I’ve been to this place more than a couple times now and has become my go to for South Indian cuisine. It’s not a fancy place and has limited sitting capacity but food is tasty and decently priced. During our recent visit, owner – a genuine and nice person – came to greet us, gave us good recommendations and we had a nice little chat. We ordered Kuzhi Paniyaram, Medhu wada, Idly and their Mega (3 ft) Masala dosa. Everything along with Sambhar and both coconut and red chutneys were really good!
