I’ve generally enjoyed coming to Ooba Tooba. The food tastes good, the portions are decent, and overall the place has a nice vibe.

However, I had an uncomfortable experience during my recent visit. Ooba Tooba offers free salsa at the salsa station, which is great and definitely enhances the meal. But when we went to take some additional salsa, a staff member (photo attached, face hidden for privacy) was quite rude and stopped us from taking more. Also stopped us to take salsa if order is placed from doordash or ubereats.

I genuinely don’t understand why a restaurant that charges premium prices would restrict customers from taking salsa when it’s placed at a self-serve station specifically for customers to enjoy and enhance their food. It made the experience feel awkward and unwelcoming.

Everything else about this place is good, which is why this stood out even more. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and aligns staff behavior with the customer experience they want to provide. Small interactions like this can really impact how customers feel about coming back.

Ooba tooba is my favorite place to get Mexican food here in the Seattle area! Every item has so much wonderful flavor and these are the best chicken enchiladas I’ve ever had. The food is clearly made with care and the staff has always been so friendly and kind.

The food was amazing and the service was top notch! As soon as we entered a gentleman welcomed us and told us about their salsa bar. Wow! The best fresh tasting salsa I have had. So much flavor! The meals were great and so filling! Next time we are back in this area, we will be sure to go again.

Great food. Been there twice and loved the food both the times. Had chicken burrito, raja quesadilla and juan tacos and they were all delicious. They have decent vegetarian/vegan options which is nice. The salsas are quite tasty too. One thing to improve is their cleanliness. The reusable bowls and cutlery need another wash.

We came here around lunch time on a weekday, and there was only one group dining. We placed the order at the counter, then got a seat by the window. We ordered the grilled chicken plate for $16.99 and the grilled steak burrito grande for $18.99. They also gave us two small bags of chips on the house that came with the meal.

There is a salad bar with fresh del dia salsa, fresh tomatillo salsa, fresh habanero salsa, fresh corn/pineapple, and fresh pico de Gallo. My husband likes to mix del dia salsa with pico de Gallo. I enjoyed the corn a lot and took some home too. They have small containers for you to take small portions back.

The grilled chicken plate comes with cooked veggies, grilled chicken, black bean, sour cream, pico de Gallo and 2 small wheat tortilla. My husband’s burrito grande looks more appetizing as his comes with guacamole, fresh lettuce, steak burrito, sour cream and pico de Gallo. His steak burrito was also covered in cheese. The food taste on par with other Mexican places, and portion is large like other Mexican places too. We got a to go box to take leftover back.

They were playing Mexican music the whole time, so I quite enjoyed the vibe. When we left, the restaurant was about 60% full. It’s a nice spot, but nothing was that special here and it’s not super close to us, so it’s unlikely for me to visit again.

Ooba Tooba is such a solid spot for fresh, flavorful Mexican food! Everything tastes homemade — the burritos are packed, the tacos are delicious, and the salsas are super fresh. Portion sizes are generous and the prices are great for what you get. The staff is friendly and fast, and the whole place has a relaxed, local vibe. Whether you’re grabbing lunch or a quick dinner, Ooba Tooba is always a satisfying choice. Highly recommend!

Fresh, local, and delicious Mexican food. Staff is kind and cordial. After ordering, the food was ready in under 5 minutes. Order via Clover (link on their website) for the lowest price.
Spacious and cheerful dining atmosphere with Mexican music playing in the background. Outdoor seating available too, weather permitting. Most meals are served with chips and an extensive salsa bar.
Ample free street parking is available.

Brought in 3 youths from a local center. Yes , they had baggy pants and were African American, but theanager lady told them they could only take 3 tiny salsa max 🙁
I saw many other people taking more than 3 only
Only plus minority were told so 🙁
Avoid these racist businesses!!!

We tried Ooba Tooba in Redmond and had a mixed experience. We ordered the Fajita Steak Burrito and the Chicken Quesadilla, along with some tortilla chips from their salsa bar.

The Fajita Steak Burrito was just okay. While the steak itself was flavorful, the burrito lacked balance—the top half was packed with steak, while the bottom was mostly beans and rice, which made for an uneven bite. The Chicken Quesadilla was a bit disappointing—the chicken was dry and oddly cut.

That said, the tortilla chips and salsa bar were great! The chips were fresh and crispy, and the salsa options were flavorful and a nice addition to the meal.

Overall, while the food was decent, the burrito and quesadilla could have been better balanced and prepared. If you’re stopping by, the salsa bar and chips are definitely worth trying!

I love Ooba Tooba! I try to eat here about once a month and the staff is always so friendly. I recommend the Grilled Chicken Plate, Chile Relleno, or any of the quesadillas. The burritos are also very good, but not pictured.
