I had the gumbo for the first time and the sweet potato bread pudding. They were both delicious. The only drawbacks was the volume of the music was quite loud, which took some getting used to, and my gumbo was good but I felt the portion was quite small for the value. It did not come with any sides (no crackers, no cornbread or biscuits) Other than that, it was cool.
We had the Gumbo cup which was enough and filling by itself. It was soooo yummy and filled with everything you want and desire in a Gumbo especially if your not in NOLA!!
SERVICE: IMPECCABLE!
Thanks Hawani!!! Her amazing personality was soooo bright and welcoming.
I will be back, sure enough.
SOUNDS: HITLIST was 100/100! PeriodT!
Mins before I finally flagged someone to our table and asked if we could order our drinks and food.
It was very messy everywhere. No one bussing tables. We sat with a pile of plates and cups next to our table which was rude.
It was a lot of standing around and then them rushing food to people. One girl dropped her work device and cut herself and did not go bandage her finger.
We watched as other couples came in and they’d walk them to a table BEFORE it was finished being cleaned and setup.
The food literally saved the day because the service was the worst I’ve ever experienced.
UPDATE: We made it back a month later! Smooth service, continued excellent service, friendly and family feel. We all tried different menu items. You won’t be disappointed. Gumbo, Shrimp & Grits, Bischoff Waffles, Pancakes … pictured is the Wharf Scramble with multigrain toast and Bloody Mary. Divine!!
