Ordered a few items and overall had a good experience.
As Cool as Cucumber was very refreshing.
Yuzu Blossom looked great and tasted just as good.
Ordered the ribeye medium rare — nicely seared on the outside, tender and juicy inside.
The risotto balls were crispy on the outside with risotto and cheese inside. They paired well with the egg yolk mayo, though a bit more cheese would make them even better.
The beef taco was generously filled and leaned slightly sweet, similar to Korean-style braised short ribs, with vegetables and sweet corn underneath to balance the richness. Overall good, though the ribs might be even better with slightly more fat.
Seafood pasta came in a light cream sauce, well seasoned and not heavy. Bacon was a nice addition and added extra depth to the flavor.
The interior has a nice atmosphere and feels like a good spot for a date.

This is my first time at this restaurant during happy hour 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Monday thru Friday and 10:00 p.m – 12:00 a.m. I had oysters, corn ribs, truffle French fries, grilled Spanish Octopus. The food was so delicious and savory with different spices. Our friendly server is Jamil and who provided additional recommendations. My favorite dish is the oysters and definitely will be dining here again. The atmosphere was very relaxing with music. Desserts were lava cake and crème brûlée.

Had a wonderful dining experience at Tavern 157! The oysters were super fresh and the seared foie gras was rich and perfectly cooked. The braised beef short rib was tender and flavorful, while the Chilean sea bass and seafood pasta were both outstanding. We ended with the warm chocolate lava cake which was the perfect sweet finish. Great service and atmosphere – definitely a spot worth coming back to in Flushing.

Beautiful very luxury vintage type of tavern. Chill and service is great. James made great cocktails not only it’s very aesthetic but it’s also really good drinks and he’s very passionate about making these cocktails. He’s a trooper doing the a great service checking our table, making drinks and all but still manage to smile and have conversation with his customers. My husband and I had a great experience.
