I’ve been working in this area for around four months , and this is the best place that i’ve found, a hidden gem in McIntosh.. Yesterday was as my first time going there and I can tell you it won’t be my last…delicious plate lunches, seasoned well and the employees are very welcoming and friendly. I would definitely recommend this place for a go to spot to grab a home cooked meal!

I was on a business trip and found this restaurant. The reviews looked good so I decided to stop boy am I glad that I did! This was a really good home-cooked meal. It has a small restaurant with some eating inside and out. The owners were extremely friendly and the food was phenomenal. They were serving plate lunches on Wednesday when I stopped. I had the shepherds pie, collard greens,candied yams and cornbread. If I am ever back in McIntosh Alabama, I will be sure to stop by again.

$31 for two fishplates with fries & okra. Fish was good, that blue tartar sauce was awesome, hush puppies were a tad bit hard, but would definitely try more stuff here. Wish they had an updated online menu with all the sides so it can be easier to call an order in.

The “ice specialties” are out of this world delicious!!! And the food is fantastic, very friendly service, a great place to hang out! Just what any small town needs! Great food, fantastic desserts and good conversations on a wrap around porch!

Had a burger and fried okra. The fried okra was really good! For dessert had the strawberry cheesecake deluxe- which was amazing. I can imagine the place is probably lively on summer weekends. They have indoor and outdoor seating as well as corn hole and fire pit.

Was coming back from Tuscaloosa to Gulf Breeze, FL and was looking for some good local southern cooking, and we sure did find it !!! Great service very clean and Amazing food!!!! i had fried chicken, Collard greens, and chicken and dumplings for lunch….. well it was so good I got 2 bigs sides of greens and dumplings and more fried chicken and 2 pieces of pecan pie to go and ate that for dinner!!! Will definitely be back !!! So so so yummy
