Pancake Cafe Fitchburg was a delight this morning. Although they were very busy, the host had us seated with drinks within a few minutes.
The food was piping hot and absolutely delicious! The service was wonderful as well (thanks Katie!).
We of course had to try the special pancake hot sauce, and ended up taking 2 bottles home!
Thanks guys!

Pancake Café is a lovely traditional breakfast joint. We went on a Saturday morning around 10:30am and the place was poppin’ – a good sign. Even with a totally full restaurant, we were told the wait for a table was 20 minutes. I think we waited 10 minutes. I ordered an egg nog latte (which was divine), blueberry pancakes with a side of bacon. My partner ordered the breakfast burrito. The bacon deserves accolades and awards. So thick and delicious. It was cooked perfectly. The pancakes were great – especially with the blueberry compote. The serving size was very generous. The service was quick and friendly. I would definitely go back to Pancake Café for another brunch adventure. Check it out, folks!

Very friendly service. Best. Breakfast I’ve had in a long time. They have German Pancakes that take 25 minutes to bake! (Cue the harp music) Something for everyone. The Pomegranate Cosmo glittered! Banana Crepes locally sourced bacon wow!

We had a party of 7. Quickly seated on a Saturday morning. Promptly offered coffee and beverages by our wonderful waitperson, Kathy. Two of us had baked pancakes: Apple, Pecan. They were excellent and well worth the wait. The portion was quite large and even though we ordered the smaller size, we brought half our breakfast home. Everyone was happy with our meals. One child in our party and he was delighted with the Nutella French toast.

Food was excellent! I only gave 4 stars overall, as I would have liked to have ordered only 1 or 2 pancakes, but I could only find either 3 pancakes or 4 pancakes. Regardless, they were delicious. My daughter loved the chocolate strawberry crepes. Next time we are in Madison, we will be stopping again!

Definitely my favorite brunch place! Not many vegan options but the atmosphere and service is so nice. You can get the avocado toast with no eggs, fruit, sides like hashbrowns, or the oatmeal (just ask for it to be made with water and no milk).

The food here was excellent!
We arrived about 45 minutes before closing: A six person family. Once they noticed we were there and finally got seated, it took a while for us to get service.
It seemed like a normally well run place, so I’m positive our experience as far as service goes was due to the fact that the staff was already beginning to close up for the day.
The food was amazing. Between the six of us, we had Oreo pancakes, strawberry pancakes, gluten free pancakes/meat lovers omelet/corned beef hash, regular pancakes, hash browns, Nutella & strawberry pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage, and chai latte. There was not a bad bite (sip) with any of it. Our food was incredible.
Well done, Pancake Café!

Just stopped for brunch and wow. Awesome ambiance and an even better steak skillet. Add the jalapeños and avocado for the extra kick

Food was ok, service wasn’t good. Overpriced. $5 for apple juice for a kid? The men’s bathroom was flooded and the toilet didn’t work or something, according to my husband. Waitress referred to our child as “the kid.” I don’t think she meant it rudely but it was poor communication. We won’t be rushing back. More details on the food: blueberries and sour cream crepes should have these sweet and sour flavors mingle and complement. Instead they were blended fully, and overseasoned with cinnamon so the flavor profiles were entirely lost and it mostly tasted like cinnamon. Chocolate chip pancakes had mounds of chocolate to the point that it was ridiculous. It’s possible to have too much of a good thing. No fresh fruit option on the menu as a side made this place feel further lower scale diner-y to me. I actually liked the coffee and thought it seemed like higher quality, not the sour stuff. I continue to be disappointed by most restaurants in the Midwest, sadly.

It’s difficult to get blueberry pancakes right, but Pancake Cafe nailed it! The pancakes were thick without being outrageous and tender. The blueberries were plentiful- three big berries in a 2 inch square! The hashbrowns could have been crispier , but they were good. I’ll definitely return!
