Smuggler Union is a great pub to go have drinks and apps. During ski season, it is definitely more crowded in the evenings, so expect a wait if you are looking to get a table. We got lucky and snagged three seats at the bar… and so glad we did! The bartenders were both very friendly, made great recommendations and handled a very busy bar/restaurant with patience. As far as food goes- we got the tuna appetizer which was very good. Not something most would order from a pub but their sister restaurant is actually the sushi place up the street, so they source from the same place. We also got the potato tots that were very good as well. Basically just fried cheesy mashed potatoes. Finally, we shared the buffalo wings which were delicious!! Some of the best wings I have ever had! The flavor was great and the chicken as moist. We actually attempted to go back again the next night and ran into a bit an attitude at the hostess stand, so decided to go elsewhere. Overall, we had a great experience and I would certainly go back.

Smugglers is a small brewery that has exceptional craft beers and delicious food. We ate there twice during our stay and each of the meals was excellent. The dining area is SMALL and so calling ahead is a good idea to check on the wait. Everything is cooked to order. We had burgers, chicken, sweet potato fries and each item was delicious. Absolute must for a nice casual night out.

This was the best meal we had during our stay in Telluride! The cheesy potato tots and meat pies were so good, and the steak frites couldn’t have been better. We also tried the root beer and moscow mule – both were good! We’d definitely come back when we return to Telluride.

77 Capacity 1pm to 4pm line is not to long. Handicap entrance is in the alley on the other side of trash bin. Excellent home made Root beer and Ginger beer. Excellent pear salad, steak and hand cut fries.

My wife had the elk bolognese. It was very good. I had the fish and chips and wasn’t impressed.
The temperature in the restaurant was very hot and stuffy. I am from Texas and can handle heat. I actually stepped outside for a while to cool off.

Came for lunch and we both got burgers (I got the bacon one) and both were great! House salad was an apple and walnut mix and was surprisingly good! For beer they had flights available with a good mix of options and I liked them all (seasonal pumpkin one was fun).

I love this place. I’ve been coming to Telluride for a decade, and I ALWAYS make a point to eat here at least once. Great food made with quality ingredients. Service is helpful and friendly. Beers are tasty and fresh. The spirits are high quality and thoughtfully chosen.
