We had a pretty great first time experience here! Prices are decent and wait time for food wasn’t long. The double bacon cheeseburger and onion rings a solid choice, especially with the juicy burger. While the onion rings didn’t blow me away, it’s nice that they were still crispy. Also got the Double cheeseburger. Bomb!! We made that a combo with the chili cheese fries. They also hit the spot. It’s always a nice touch when the staff adds that friendly vibe with some cool free stickers. We’ll definitely be back with friends/family.

Charley’s burgers is a classic! my go to order is the #10 peanut butter bacon burger with 2 patties! Along with the large chili cheese fries!! You can’t go wrong! oh yeah with a shake is must, i usually get a peanut butter cookies N cream shake!!Service is fast when there isn’t to many car but if you get there during it’s busy time you will be waiting a little, but that’s expected when cooking each order fresh! come try if you haven’t!!

It is a drive-thru, but they cook everything fresh so don’t expect it to be ready in 30 seconds, just because I notice this place seems to rile up karens and get reviews on “bad customer service” that I doubt are entirely honest… There were some rude people behind me who got out of their car and started yelling and throwing a fit at the employees “IVE BEEN WAITING FOR AN HOUR!” when only 5 minutes had passed… I order a double bacon cheeseburger, and peanut butter chocolate shake, and chili cheese fries. I was really pleased the bacon was crispy and not all soft like other fast food places! I’ll be going again.

On my mission to try all the hamburgers in San Diego my journey brought me to Charley’s. On this day I was hungry and had been reminded about Charley’s burgers by a customer of mine. Now Charley’s is a drive through burger place so the expectation was a drive through fast Burger. The burger was great only improvement I could mention was it could have been a touch greasyer. Lettuce and produce was fresh and the bun was good. The fries were great and they give you plenty. Skinny crispy fries. To boot one of the staff was taking a break with me out on the bench where I was eating, His name was Ramsey. He also shared my enthusiasm about hamburgers.

I don’t understand how this place is still in business, especially selling burgers. I ordered the chicken sandwich and it was terrible. The chicken was so overcooked it was literally falling apart in my hands, and the bun was completely soggy and flavorless. The whole thing just tasted bland and poorly made. It was honestly such a disappointing experience that I wish I could forget I even went. And to make it worse, it was way overpriced. Definitely not worth it.

Grew up around the area, and finally gave this place a shot 20 years later,
We got the double burger and cheese fries, we got the food to go, so there was some travel time before eating.
Burgers were homemade tasting but fresh and good, the ingredients were fresh and tasty lettuce was cold and the special sauce was fire.
Fries were good and crisp and the nacho cheese gave it that extra taste.
All in all me and my wife liked it better then in and out

I had two hotdogs and a shake. The hotdogs were okay. I had chili with one of them. Both beef links with bacon and cheese. The strawberry banana shake was also okay. Comparable to Weinerschnitzl. I didn’t try their “famous burgers” yet maybe next time.

First impression of the food, nothing much to brag on. My bun had a chunk missing from the top, burger patty was cold and unseasoned, veggies were cold and fresh but I threw it away after 4 bites. The fries were fresh and hot. The workers were giving me bad vibes. Staring at me like they had a problem anytime I looked in the window. It’s like they had something to hide. Overall , not an experience I care to repeat. Not going to return.
