This is a bummer to write considering how much I genuinely loves favillas pizza. The order I received from the newly established michelangelo’s pizza was so beyond vile I do not know where to begin- I ordered a medium cheese pizza and asked for extra sauce… and I received a pizza that had approximately an inch and half of melted cheese on top of soggy “crust” with about a teaspoon of sauce hidden underneath. I heard bad things about the place but wanted to make an opinion for myself and respectfully.. that was a horrifying experience

I stopped to pick up a pizza on my way home from the Crowne Plaza. I’ve been meaning to try their pizza for about a year because the reviews were always so good. I learned the owner was in a very bad car accident a few months ago and experienced some difficulties with this little restaurant while he was recovering. Apparently, he broke his back, ribs, many other bones, and damaged his heart. I’m very impressed he is dedicated to making this restaurant what it once was before his accident and Helene.
So I got a 10″ pepperoni for my 20 year old son, whom I consider a connoisseur of pizza, and it did not disappoint! He said it was delicious and really liked the sauce! I’ll be stopping by to grab pizzas here again when I’m in the area! Next time, we’ll try a white pizza or the cheese steak.
The atmosphere was great too! You could tell the employees were going above and beyond. It was very busy on a Friday afternoon around 1:30, but the service was still great!

A 16” pizza with pepperoni and ham. The pizza had very, if any, little ham on it, only in one slice from what I could tell. The half of pizza with the soggy bottom crust stuck to the bottom of the box and ripped the piece in half as I tried to pick it up. Only half the pie was edible.

The pie and slices are not really large like they should be. Under cooked. But tasty. The Sicilian was under cooked.And sorry to say not good in taste.But the crust was good,And slid off like sliding into first base. The owner doesn’t cook them. He needs to get with it. 6.1 rating.The staff and owner are very nice.But it’s hit or score in the food. U need to be on point everytime and all the time on your A game.To the owner-Im not the only one advising you on this problem your having that you just don’t fix. Your losing revinew $$$ By allowing this to happen time and time again. Your customers are not happy with your products not like it used to be. You need to wakeup to your business and start fixing these issues and not saying just thank you. Your business is falling apart. Brooklyn people and pizza foodies are not coming back. Fix it or lose it. I say this as someone that cares. Gambling and short changing us is your chapter 11 Its landing on deaf ears.

We have been long time customers since the restaurant was located way down Patton Ave. They served a real NY pie. Tonight what I got bore no resemblance to pizzas of the past. It was very thick, had lots of bubbles, was very chewy, dry and looked like an entire bag of cheese was just dumped on it. When I mentioned that it did not look like any pizza I’d ever gotten there before I was told by the pizza maker/ manager that he would ask how to make a thinner pie… I should have known something was up when I called and you could tell it was not going smoothly there. Very disappointing as this has always been the go to pizza spot for our house.

This place is fantastic. Found it through Google Maps and have been telling friends and family about it ever since.
This place is all about pizza. We ordered a couple slices of the Grandma style and a couple pepperoni and sausage pinwheels; both were amazing, but the pizza crust is what we haven’t been able to stop talking about.
It looks like Favilla’s is mostly a takeout location, but we comfortably ate-in at one of the 4-6 tables. Most tables were taken but there were always one or two available when we were there.
I will be back for a slice of the NY style

I’ve never eaten a pizza that can be a 11/10 and then the next time I go it’s a 1/10… the quality control is horrendous. One time it’s perfect amount of sauce and cheese, great cook and undercarriage. The next time I go it’s undercooked saucy and cheeeessssyyyy pie. This was supposed to be a WELL done pie. The farthest thing from NY pizza. I’ve had amazing pizza from here and then the worst in asheville

Uh.. Well, here we are.. I never thought I’d ever be leaving less than a raving 5 star review. The pizza tonight was NOT at all the same. The ranch tasted like a cup of Mayonnaise!
What happened??
We used to come here to get cheese pizza slices. They were huge! Now they’re more than half the size less! Less flavor. Basically warm. What did you do to the ranch??

The few times that I have chosen to eat from favillas have been less than exceptional. Twice on doordash I have had issues with this place. Waited an hour for food which was just a simple pizza and salad, my dashers kept getting switched so I added on an EXTRA tip. Then I proceed to look at my app again for an ETA on my order and it’s been canceled due to “STORE RELATED ISSUES” NOT ok. So it was the store the entire time and I’m thinking its because of me. DO BETTER.

Darren and Malik were excellent on customer service! The pizza speaks for itself it’s the best pizza in Asheville North Carolina. This pizza restaurant has now become my favorite. A+8-29-25Excellent pizza like always!
