We’re on a long road trip and decided to order a large pepperoni pizza with extra cheese, some apps, and cookies. We received a basic cheese pizza, which is obviously cheaper but we were charged for the pepperoni and extra cheese. We went ahead and ate it because we have to get up early. There was no cheese pull. And the pizza tasted similar to Domino’s. Not great for a higher priced place. The cookies were good. That’s about all I can say.

Came in for lunch with my wife and infant son after long morning. Not greeted at the door gave a look at us like confused. (Should have known then what to expect) confusing menu, items that sound like they are on special are not and are full price (waitress doesn’t know the menu or how to explain it). Cocktails are overpriced and again sound like they should be included in “happy hour” but are not. There seemed to be a manager meeting going on they decided to have it RIGHT NEXT TO US THE ONLY CUSTOMERS IN THE RESTURANT. Git the buffalo eggrolls, they taste like they were fried in oil not changed in two weeks. My wife’s mini pizza was undercooked and my chicken parm sandwich was bland. Bill came out to 75$ for only 2 people. And to top it all off 2-3 hours later we got sick from FOOD POISONING dying on toilet and throwing up. DO NOT EAT HERE PLENTY OF OTHER PIZZA PLACES IN KC.

Minsky’s Pizza on Southwest Boulevard offers a mixed experience that’s solid in some areas but falls short in others, landing it squarely in the average category for me.
Starting with the positives: The pizza is genuinely very good—crispy crust, flavorful toppings, and generous portions that make it worth the visit if you’re craving a slice. The staff is another highlight; they’re very nice, attentive, and quick to help, which adds a friendly vibe despite other issues.
On the flip side, the room itself feels off and not at all warm or welcoming. It’s a bit stark and uninviting, which detracts from the overall atmosphere. The chairs at the bar are awkwardly too tall, making it uncomfortable to sit and enjoy your meal there. And the soda is consistently flat-tasting, which is disappointing when you’re pairing it with pizza. Additionally, the parking lot is dark at night and doesn’t feel safe, which is a concern especially if you’re dining in the evening or leaving after dark.
Overall, I’d give it 3 out of 5 stars—great food and service, but the ambiance, little details, and safety aspects need some tweaks to elevate it. I’d come back for takeout, but maybe skip dining in.

First time ordering from this location via door dash at 8pm. My order arrived secured and warm. I appreciate the precaution for food safety. First time trying the chocolate chip cookies delicious. The pizza (6 inch Prime Cut) was okay but missing toppings. I received only cheese and bacon. For the cheese sticks tasted like bread with cheese. No garlic flavor or any flavor. Not a fan of the cheese sticks.

Use to be my favorite pizza place but not anymore. Called earlier today to place a pickup order and an AI service answered instead (you know the type, that tries to sound like a human with extra noises and hmmms etc). I placed the order but because the AI messed it up, I was immediately called back by a waitstaff. Felt awkward that a human, who is being replaced by the AI, had to make the correction. It’s like training your own replacement.
I also asked about the 20% gourmet discount thats going on today and they said it only applies to LARGE gourmet orders… the detroit style pizza only comes in small and so no discount. Seems odd to exclude that item from the special. Thought the whole point was to draw people in who normally don’t want to pay full price… so why make the discount only work on more expensive orders? Seems disengenuous. That combined with the AI thing and I’ve lost interest. Plenty of other pizza places in KC.

Can’t fairly rate the atmosphere, because we got our food to go. Called in our order, girl on the other end was ok, she didn’t end the call with a thank you or a good-bye, just hung up. I ordered a deep dish with one side only cheese( kids ) and the other half was all veggies. Husband gets to the hotel with the food. Not hot at all( 7/10ths of a mile away), not deep dish and if this is deep dish well excuse me ( seemed like a regular crust. See photo ) and then hardly any red sauce at all. Now we wish we would have just ordered from Papa Johns. We always like to support local where we go, but dang you spend this money thinking you’re going to get one thing, but the thing you get is a huge disappointment. If you are thinking..duh you ordered a vegetarian pizza and that’s why it’s not good. No, we have had vegetarian pizzas from other places and they are fantastic. We even make our own and it slaps, so don’t go there.

Well I went on an outing for the first time with a new lady friend and she suggested that we go there upon arrival we get seated and the waitress come over takes out order plain cheese pizza with order and myself I got cheese steak egg rolls cost about $13 for three egg rolls sliced in half which they tell you it’s six, anyway the pizza was cool but the eggs were trash, I didn’t get anything that was given Philly cheese steak, it wasn’t even given it had feeling on the inside, only thing that I taste was the egg roll wrap, definitely for the money it was not worth it it was totally trash no I didn’t complain and me being a big back I didn’t even take the leftover egg roll and I don’t leave food behind

So I’m part of University Health and We regularly order from these individuals but I was very disciplined on Friday. We had a fairly large order and nowhere in the order was I able to click for plates or utensils so I simply thought that they would give us these plates because they know they were going to a workplace and we had multiple orders and nothing was done. When I called, I was a little disappointed by the customer representative on the other end she basically said it was my fault for not requesting this even though I told her like this is a work environment and not at someone’s home. Of course we wouldn’t have plates. The fundamental thing is that you’re paying a premium price. They should at least give you plates with a large order.

We come to this location for takeout anywhere from 1-3 times a week and they always deliver little disappointments. No forks provided, grilled chicken when we asked for fried, olives on salad when we said no olives, forgotten ranch (that we paid for..) pretty upsetting for how expensive it is.

My kids and I all ordered our own personalized pizzas. We loved all of them. Mine was on the gluten free crust with lots of tasty fresh veg. The kids had sausage and pepperoni pizzas and said “best pizza ever.”
