Perdigón el sabor is a must try! They are located in an unassuming building but what is prepared inside is delicious. The Colombian empanadas are large and great for the price. I did not expect them to be that big. I tried the cheese empanada and it was great! I ordered the arepa with black beans, cheese, plantains and beef. It was larger than I had expected!!! I took half home. The meat was soft and the combination was enjoyable. The cachapas are also really good. I ordered a sour sop juice and enjoyed it. Service was good and attentive. I will definitely go back

I usually go for lunchtime. Last time I went for dinner. The place was empty and the service was very slow. The food, as usual, was excellent. The tip was added in the check even for a party of two, so be aware of this.

The meal quality has significantly declined. The service is incredibly slow, and whenever I ask for a product, they claim that it’s out of stock…. It’s unthinkable that the overall quality of this place has fallen to worse. I don’t recommend this place at all…

We found the place by chance. Excellent service. The waitress was super friendly and explained the entire menu to us. Wow, the exceptional food, delicious. Exquisite knowledge. The service was to share between 2. But the 2 of us ate and we took away that the 2 of us ate again again. And the price was fantastic. Everything is made at the moment, everything is fresh. 100% we recommend it

Was out looking for arepas and found this restraunt. The food was incredible. You can’t beat those prices either. This is my new favorite place in Tampa. My check was 69$, you see all that food? Amazing actually please don’t ever change.

Update: came back for more and it was even better than the first time. My favorite Venezuelan restaurant here.

Apparently they do an automatic 18% gratuity which is new to me, last time it was not there. I think they should update their menu to inform their customers. It’s not a problem it would just be better to avoid any problems with people complaining about it.

Nestled in the heart of the city, this Venezuelan restaurant is a true delight for anyone craving authentic Latin American flavors. From the moment you step in, the warm and welcoming atmosphere sets the tone for an unforgettable dining experience. But it’s the food that truly steals the show.

The arepas here are nothing short of spectacular. Perfectly golden and crisp on the outside, yet soft and fluffy inside, they are the ideal canvas for a variety of fillings. Whether you go for the traditional reina pepiada (a creamy chicken and avocado mix) or the hearty shredded beef, every bite bursts with authentic Venezuelan flavor. Each arepa feels like a lovingly crafted slice of home.

And then there’s the churrasco—an absolute must-try. This juicy, tender cut of grilled steak is cooked to perfection, seasoned just right, and served with a vibrant chimichurri sauce that enhances every bite. Pair it with the restaurant’s expertly prepared yuca frita or tostones for a truly indulgent meal.

Service is attentive and friendly, with staff more than happy to recommend dishes or share the history behind them. The prices are reasonable, especially considering the quality of the food and the generous portions.

Whether you’re new to Venezuelan cuisine or a longtime fan, this restaurant is a standout spot for savoring authentic arepas, churrasco, and more. Highly recommended for a casual meal, a family gathering, or even a special celebration. This is the kind of place you’ll find yourself coming back to again and again.

Highly recommend. I ordered a Patacón -green plantain, mixed chicken and beef.
The Patacón exceeded my expectations, at first look it appeared to be a large salad with plantain but once you open it and see all the feta cheese and the meat inside .. it was amazing. Also ask for cilantro cream and pour it on the Patacón it takes it from an 8 to a perfect 10. The sweet plantain Patacón was just as delicious.
The price is reasonable for the amount of food.
