First of all the lady at the register was super nice. The onion rings where good. But that is about it. Upon walking in it smelled like dirty mop water. The floor was sticky. The tables needed to be cleaned. The place needed a good clean. Granted it was 7pm but the place was empty. I ordered the bacon burger and my wife ordered the old fashioned. My burger was burnt all over. The patty was extremely thin and dry. If it wasn’t for the tomato and pickles it would have been hard to eat. For the price we could have just gone to Chester’s but it was so close to our house I wanted it to be good. Unfortunately it just wasn’t a great experience. It was somewhat edible but not enjoyable. I only finished half of my burger eating around all the burnt parts. Save your money and go somewhere else.

We came in today coming from South Texas heading back to Austin. The short version is it’s definitely worth a stop to get the burger and fries. The burger was great and the fries are seasoned very well. Everything else is very very BLAND. We got onion rings, jalapeño rings, and chicken “nuggets” for my daughter and they were all bland which is surprising considering the fries are seasoned well. Other than that, definitely stop by and grab a burger and fries.

The meal provided was quite enjoyable, and I appreciated the flavors. The preparation seemed to be done with care and attention to detail. The various elements of the dish complemented each other very well. I would certainly consider having food from this place again. Overall, I had a positive dining experience.

If you’re craving classic comfort food done right, this spot absolutely delivers. The burgers were juicy, flavorful, and cooked perfectly—no shortcuts here. The onion rings were crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and clearly made fresh. But honestly, the real star of the meal was the French fries. Golden, perfectly seasoned with extra yummy seasoning if some kind . The kind of fries you keep reaching for even when you swear you’re full. Everything just hit the spot and felt satisfying without being overcomplicated. Definitely a place I’d come back to and happily recommend to anyone in the mood for a really solid burger-and-fries experience.

I just tried Babe’s old fashioned food for the first time last week…I must say this cheeseburger is one of the best that I’ve ever eaten. The meat was seasoned beautifully and the bun was so buttery and well toasted. It was beyond what I was hoping for. It was so good that I actually went and told Chloe that she did an amazing job, as she is who was on the grill.
The service was wonderful and everything was extremely fresh and hot, and made to order…The onion rings were hand battered and I couldn’t stop eating them. My daughter had a kids cheeseburger with fries, she also loved her food and said she wanted to return soon. I ate some of her fries because, well, they were irresistible.
The one and only thing I would change about this place is the cleanliness…There were numerous tables that were dirty, had soda on them, or crumbs etc. It wasn’t just one table either. It was literally 90% of the empty tables. That was actually the first thing I noticed when I walked in, not good! It had me concerned as to what the quality of the food would be.
Those concerns were short lived once I received my order. Check out my photos, doesn’t this look tasty?!? I was very satisfied with my food and the cleanliness in the dining room is something I can overlook, for this reason alone… Other customers may not be as forgiving, however. I give Babe’s a solid 9 out of 10! I will definitely be back.

My Uncle James loves this place! I had the Avocado Burger, and Uncle James had the Swiss and Mushroom Burger with Jalapeños. Both were amazing!
What truly sets this place apart is the amazing staff, especially an incredible woman named Ms. Babe. She is always smiling, constantly cleaning, and her customer service is absolutely on point. She is a huge asset to this company in my opinion.
Highly recommend this spot come say hi to Ms.Babe and try the burgers.

I have eaten here the first time they open and it was very good. Today we decided to eat here again and we were not as impressed. Babes is considered a staple and usually has good food at other locations. As you can see the picture, the burgers were squished in a bag in top of a club sandwich box which was squished. Not only that, lucky my husband ordered a double because he had to share with me since the girl that took my order did not hear my last burger choice. Just some feed back.

1st time: Ordered chicken strips, 4 very large, could only eat 2. Perfectly breaded & they make their own chips. Choice of gravy or dressing. Very good.
2nd time: hamburger with trimmings & side of handcut fries. Very good.
Both my husband & I ordered the same & really liked it. Called it in. Made fresh, quality meals. Waited 10 minutes & picked up ready when we arrived.
We will go again. Staff is super friendly. Reasonably priced.

My late wife & I really enjoyed eating at Babe’s across from MCOA on Huebner. Welcome to this new modern restaurant on O’Connor Rd. Nice decor. Aisles were wide
No problem with my rollator. It has same features as other Babe’s; order at reception counter from a large wall menu board, order is zip lined to kitchen, your name is called when ready for pickup. Got tired & lost my appetite of eating hamburgers from some of other fast food burger restaurants. My old fashion burger was indeed how burgers used to be made. Thick beef pattie. Fresh ingredients of tomato, onion, lettuce, & pickles. Sesame bun was toasted. My order of fries was tender with their healthy peels left on the sliced potato. Enjoyed each bite from start to finish. When I’m hungry for a great hamburger, I now know where to go & recommend you try Babe’s. Note: For safety sake, recommend the broken tip jar at front counter be replaced.

BABES crispy chicken is located at 35 north and O’Connor road. This is a nice little spot for well prepared fried chicken and burgers. I’ve eaten here on several occasions. The prices are fare and food is well prepared. I haven’t tried many items on the menu. I usually get a 3 piece and fry combo. I have seen the burgers. They look like old fashioned hamburgers on toasted buns. I’ have to try one next time I am in there. There is limited parking. However, there is a drive thru. I recommend Babes for their convenience and food quality.
