We stopped in for dinner on a Thursday at about 1:00.
We were warmly greeted and seated.
Kelsie was our waitress who was friendly and helpful. She kept the coffee hot and the water full.
My wife ordered the Hawaiian chicken over rice with French fries.
I ordered the smothered pork chops with fried okra and onion rings.
The fries were hot and perfectly cooked. The okra and onion rings were a tad overcooked but still good.
The chicken was great!
The pork chops were tender and juicy but could have used a little more seasoning.
The portions were large.
( Took almost half home)
I want to go back for breakfast!

The owner seated us immediately and stopped at our table during our meal.
Our food was very tasty and plentiful.

We absolutely love The Roost. You can’t go wrong with any item on the menu but my favorite meal is the grilled fish with a baked potato and salad! Our family loves Niko and Natalia. They make you feel like family when you’re in there. We love our Ollie and the rest of the servers. Everyone is so friendly and the service/food is exceptional. Bring an appetite because the food portions are ginormous!

A nice surprise! Well this place is a bit off the beaten path, but if you’re traveling along the centerline of central Florida, it’s definitely worth a visit! We stopped in (actually twice!) and really were surprised at how good everything was and the prices are excellent. We enjoyed breakfast once and lunch another trip, and both were great, with more than we could eat. A great deal and super friendly oasis along that route!

Absolutely love what Niko and Natalia have done with The Roost. We love coming and eating here as well as having Ollie and the other girls wait on us. Everyone is so friendly and the food portions are ginormous + delicious. Price is very reasonable with how much food you get. Can’t beat it! My personal fav dishes are the Athenian chicken or the taco salad but you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu.

We’ve been loving The Roost since the new owners took over! Niko and Natalia are absolutely awesome and have brought so much positive energy and care into the restaurant. You can truly tell they’re putting their heart into the food and the experience. Niko is always cooking or baking up something new and delicious to add to the daily specials which really keeps things exciting. Trying fun dishes like the moussaka and pierogis has been such a treat and a great change of pace. Can’t forget about the homemade key lime Pie or the Banoffe Pie! Highly recommend!

Just moved to Florida in September and I was craving home style southern cooking (mostly grits because it’s so hard to get them in New York). A friend introduced me to The Roost and it is my new favorite place to go! Everything was great and Angel made the experience so much better with her amazing personality!

Used to be really good food. A few weeks ago it sold and the new owners changed the menu. They also changed the quality of the food and went up on price. With the food quality going down and price going up I won’t be back anytime soon. Prior to this we ate here two or three times a week. I feel bad for all the staff as they are really good at their jobs and provide exceptional friendly service. I’ve talked with several other regulars that feel the same way.
