The fried green tomatoes were downright delicious, and the gumbo came in a portion big enough to make a second meal—I gladly took it to go. Everything was full of Southern flavor and hospitality. The staff were so welcoming, and my waitress was an absolute sweetheart. She even shared a lovely story about her experience at the Biltmore, which made the whole visit feel personal and memorable. I’ll definitely be back when I’m in the area.

This is hidden Jewel in High Point. I would definitely recommend trying Steak Street. The live Music was awesome. The manager Travis came to our table several times to make sure we loved the food and service. Grace was our waitress and she made sure that experience was awesome. If you want a romantic date night or just an amazing steak. You can’t find a better place.

Yikes, this place left a ton to be desired.

Food was ordered to-go, and the first issue noticed was that they provide extremely flimsy plasticware. You know what I’m talking about. For a steakhouse, imagine trying to eat a steak or chicken with flimsy silverware. For the prices they charge, they could at minimum provide sturdier utensils. Even much cheaper restaurants will provide that.

Second, most if not all the food is premade or frozen.

Onion rings taste exactly like the frozen kind you get at Walmart.

The chicken tenders are $15 and you get 3 measly looking tenders hardly bigger than a chicken nugget.

The grilled chicken entrees are so dry and so tough that you literally can’t bite through the exterior from how old/dry it is.

I will give credit to the sweet potato mash as it was actually pretty tasty.

Lastly, the bread pudding is terrible. The inside is completely dry with zero flavor, and it tastes exactly like a prepackaged angel food cake. This can’t be made in house as any other bread pudding I’ve ever had was actually flavorful, moist, and decadent throughout the entire bread.

Another gripe is that the restaurant is knowingly practicing fraudulent business practices. Their online menu does not mention anywhere that they will increase all menu prices by 3% if you pay by credit card. Their online menu prices are NOT what you will actually be charged if you use card. Most businesses have to explicitly state this surcharge both on physical and digital menus. The fact that they don’t do that here is really misleading and not a business to support. And then on top of that they have the gall to calculate tip percentages on the surcharge price. So if you pay with card, your tip they calculate is also inflated.

I don’t recommend coming here if you’re looking for quality food by an honest business.

Southern Virginians searching for a great steak. We ventured just an hour south to Steak Street and we were very pleased for our first visit. I ordered the Carriage House Ribeye marinated in bourbon glaze. Because I’m ‘saucy’, I requested extra bourbon glaze on the side. I thought it was absolutely delish. The steak dishes come with a salad and your choice of a side.( I have to comment on the Ranch because I’m a Ranch snob and I do confirm their dressing met my standards). I chose the garlic mashed potatoes as my side. Dinner rolls were also provided.
Our server was kind and friendly and on task. We didnt have to request or wait on anything. Would definitely dine here again.

Food was great.
The Bourbon steak was excellent. The garlic mash was good. Onion ring not so much. The bourbon chicken was also very good. They oysters was not great . However the overall food experience was good

The service was excellent. The server was very friendly and attentive however seem like he was new. Was not very knowledgeable of the dishes. However that did not diminish the service quality.

Emailed management prior to leaving a review and never heard back after quite the disappointing experience here and it appears they do not manage or respond on Google. We made a reservation to be safe and arrived 30 minutes early. They were busy so weren’t ready for us and that is completely fine, we had no issue waiting at the bar and having a couple drinks. We arrived at 7 for our 7:30 reservation and sat at the bar until a little after 8. Then I got an email saying our reservation was cancelled. I went to the host station where the employees we first spoke to were there and couple others. There was confusion as if they forgot about us and a waiter was complaining about us being sat and that they were out of glasses. Shortly after we got sat and a waiter later took our drink order. Then another waiter comes to take our drink order, and we let him know it had been taken already. Then there seemed to be a frustration that someone may have taken his table, and he started asking questions about who took our order. We then had the original waiter come back and continue to serve us. We ordered and continued our dining. Our food took a while and wasn’t very warm. My baked potato was good although cool and the steak was mediocre. My companion had to salt his food quite a bit and said it wasn’t very warm either. The Caesar salad was probably the best part of my meal honestly and was cool as it should be. Not sure I’d come back; the bartender was very nice and served us well when there. I was hoping to hear from management and seeing if things were different next time. I don’t mind waiting or paying for quality however this wasn’t a very good service experience, did cost and wasn’t the best of quality as you’d expect from such a nice establishment. It also wasn’t as if we just showed up either. As you can see in photos, we were there, and I have an email where our reservation was cancelled although the restaurant had cleared out and had room for us. No one came up to talk to us. The young hostess wasn’t the most helpful or pleasant, she may have had a bad day otherwise working at the front end of a business may not be for her.

Took wife here for her Bday with her parents.

Friendly employees. Clean place. Nice atmosphere. Quick service.

For 4 people at a steak house, price not bad. Very good food.

Had 2 appetizers, gator bites and calamari, both very good.

We had the steak street ribeye, salmon and bourbon chicken. All were very good.

Will be back again.

The overall experience was fantastic. We went the Saturday after valentines day, we got seated quickly with our reservation. We were on the top floor and it was calm and nice. We loved hearing the live music from downstairs.

The food was extremely good, from the fried green tomatoes to the steak. The tomatoes probably the best I’ve ever had at a restaurant. The Brussel sprouts were super crispy and perfect. Now onto the steak, they were both cooked perfectly, but the bourbon filet was top tier. I’m not normally a filet person, but this was probably the best steak I’ve ever had.

Only reason for the 4 star and not the 5 is the price of some add ons. I wasn’t informed of the uncharge for onions and mushrooms on the steak. An up charge isn’t the problem per say, but the $8 a piece was. Roughly 6 mushrooms, and 6 slices of onions cost me $16 which was more then the voodoo shrimp add on my wife got for her ribeye. $16 for a few mushrooms and onions is a little ridiculous.

Other then that, it was perfect, we will 100% be going back, and 100% never adding mushroom and onions for $16 again.
