Whenever we go to the Fort Colony, whether its for a fast meal, or with friends, or as family. We have always had excellent meals.
The Food- for decades I have had most of their menu items. Some of our personal favorites are the deep fried chicken, and the their pork tenderloin. The Friday All You Can Eat fish. You can’t go wrong with anything for the kids either. Now that I am able to eat from the Senior menu, it’s as good as well. The bonus is you get a dessert.
The Service: This is a full service restaurant, meaning that the staff work together to give you the best. We were seated immediately, our drinks arrived shortly after. We took our time deciding on what we liked. We shared and appetizer and the main. Which helped us from overindulging.
The Atmosphere: As I said, over the years, we have visited this restaurant. They have kept up with the times. It has stayed contemporary and fresh.
And I highly recommend the vegetable beef soup. They may have stayed relevant, but the recipe is still one of the best soups bar none.

The people of Fort Colony were super nice and we were treated very well as customers. The food was good (had their breakfast). The place could definitely use some renovations to spruce up the atmosphere a bit. This is a quaint local place with a real local feel to it and the good hospitality that should accompany it. Also has a dessert counter of giant cinnamon rolls and pies to choose from, of which I did (cinnamon roll). Worth a visit for a wholesome experience.

This place looks like a hole in the wall but its food is really good. We got an omelette and breakfast skillet both were really good. You can choose between hash browns or sliced potatoes, I would highly recommend the sliced potatoes. Avoid their ranch at all costs as it was very gross. The pancakes are top notch and are some of the best ones I have ever had, definitely a must have.

It doesn’t matter if you think you’re full… YOU MUST try a cinnamon roll warmed up with the butter!!! Nice little place, excellent service and very good sized servings. Nice place to have conversation because there’s no loud annoying noises.

Food was ok. Gravy was pretty good .Oct 3rd 2024, tried lunch, liver onions was pretty good. Mash potatoes & gravy was cold and taste processed . Corn was cold too. Mentioned it when I left, they told me a excuse.

Horrible food this am. Ordered sausage biscuits and gravy and the biscuits wasn’t cooked all the way and there was not one piece of sausage. French toast w strawberries was so drenched in strawberry glaze and whip cream that you couldn’t even get to the French toast to eat it. Another person at our table had a breakfast sandwhich and the cheese was so hard they couldn’t even eat it. However the skillets were good and shredded hash browns was awesome.

Food quality was poor my fiance got a double hamburger with just ketchup it was two processed thin patties wasn’t even hamburger…and was not that great he ended up feeding it to the dogs I’m not sure they should have even eaten it.. I got a chef salad and cottage cheese with Western dressing which to those who don’t know what that is it’s only Catalina I guess they changed the name as a house dressing.. it was mostly l toppings then lettuce I do like my toppings but lettuce is important as well to make it a salad it was just a container of toppings and the dressing tasted funny maybe because it was warm.. cottage cheese was decent but overpriced.. atmosphere was poor.. place was filthy looked like it had not been cleaned or updated.. food was way overpriced for the quality of food.. looks like there was more flies in the building than there was food quality. Or customers.. we did a pickup order I’m glad we didn’t stay to eat I don’t think I could have stomached it.. staff was semi friendly. I do not recommend. I’m new to the state but there are way better restaurants out there even fast food .I think at this point would be better. !!! Not even worth trying to get my money back I just wanted to leave. !!!

I enjoy this place alot, although it’s not “fancy” or “big box like” its the home cooked feel, the steady line of staff that keep this establishment going are sweet and welcoming. I’m pretty regular here its my “decompression restaurant from my line of work” for say.

Food was awful, waitress was very rude and hard to grab her attention when needed, rolled her eyes several times.. gave the wrong orders to everyone at the table my dad was with us and had late stage dementia.. she was rude to him. When explained the situation she didn’t care at all. Left no tip. No Return visit.
