We loved our first stop here. The atmosphere is nice, but casual, the staff is efficient and the food was delicious. I had a Margherita pizza, she had the bruschetta and a salad and all were outstanding. Great option for any pizza fans near Georgetown.

This is one of my favorite pizza spots in the area. Located on a street with a true Georgetown vibe, it serves pizzas that taste close to what you’d find in Italy. The fresh ingredients and perfectly baked dough stand out, and the seasoning is just right—making this a place I often crave when I’m in the mood for pizza. The salads are also worth trying.
That said, don’t expect much from the service, and keep in mind the outdoor seating is right next to a bus stop, which can be a bit inconvenient.

The food and our server were nice, but the seating experience was uncomfortable. I’m not sure if the person who seated us was the host, but they guided us (Asian customers) to the table right by the door even though there were plenty of open seats inside. When I asked for a table further in, they moved us without any issue — but later, I noticed another group of Asian customers being seated at that same door-side table. It gave me an impression of a subtle bias in seating.
Also, the check already included a 20% service fee, which we couldn’t opt out of. While our server was friendly and did a good job, I’m not sure the overall experience justified that level of service charge.
I was going to give 1 star because of the seating experience, but since our server was kind and professional, I decided to give 2 stars instead.

Nice chill vibe on a Friday night in Georgetown. We (party of 2) were able to walk in at 6:45 and get sat immediately, no issues. The restaurant was lively. Gluten free options are great—some of my favorite crust I’ve tried. Huge beer selection (including gluten free!) too. Definitely recommend pizza paradiso!

My friend and I stopped in after a day of shopping for pizza. We ordered similar pizzas but my friend asked for pesto. I am allergic to an ingredient in pesto ( pine nuts) so I informed our server and asked her to please make sure I received my correct pizza. Once our pizzas were brought out the server ensured that my pizza was correct. After a few bites I noticed that my pizza did not have the ingredients that I ordered. My friend tried a slice of my pizza and said it tasted like pesto. We immediately called to server over and she took both our pizzas to the back without saying a word. She came out a few minutes later and told us that she gave us the wrong pizza. Thank God the pesto at the restaurant is made without pine nuts so I did not have a reaction however we no longer felt comfortable eating there so we left. I feel that our server/cook could have taken better measures to ensure I had the correct pizza. A different color plate or something with more distinction would’ve shown more care for me as a customer.

This is my first time to Pizzeria Paradiso. want to say this has to be my new highly recommended restaurant. Obviously, it’s based on Italian fare food. I have never had the perfect crust till today. I have walked by this place hundreds of times, always wondering what I could be missing. Today, I went inside and ordered the 9-inch pizza the macellaio. It became my new favorite place just by the crunch and fresh taste of meats and cheese. Highly recommended to my followers.
But the way I have a new scoring card is called the empty plate. Nice patio in front for outside dining. And a game room with bar downstairs

I originally wanted to just leave a review giving constructive feedback to staff about how to correctly verbalize things to guests pertaining to parts of the process where it isn’t there job to know how it works (This service charge nonsense). I’ve been to 3 different locations for this group – Hyattsville, Tenleytown, and of course, Georgetown. The service was great at the former 2, and I can say it’s decent enough at the latter – but I can’t see it being great when it’s actually busy. As previously stated, I wanted to leave feedback to possible new staff/steps of service for things that might turn people off from coming back – since my Mother was genuinely puzzled on how this whole service charge process worked.
Fast forward a sec, and I read a reply from your owner. I’m flabbergasted with the condescendingly subliminal jabs that were wrote in response to a review from someone who took time to leave you feedback. Hey wise guy – it’s not literally any guest’s job to keep up with labor & compensation laws where they live; people are coming to get pizza, relax, drink a beer, and have a good time…….not to be pompously lectured on something their server is supposed to elaborate on & to be shamed for not understanding something clearly out-of-the-norm. Your *starring* of words as well is preposterous.
This is not something guests need to solve a riddle about, train your servers to actually use their articulation & charm to educate *PAYING* guests about.
Don’t shame a guest ever again.

Came here before a concert at The Atlantis and was pleasantly surprised! No wait, great service, and the food hit the spot. The drinks were solid too. Super convenient location and a great casual stop if you’re exploring the area.
