Was here for a convention over the weekend. Twice.
The first time around we had Oscar who did an awesome job! He was very busy but made sure we were taken care of when he could. Thankfully this was during down time and we had plenty of time to relax.
The drinks were amazing! I had a Tequila Sunrise and my boyfriend had a margarita. Then the food came out fast and it was insanely good! The steak El Grande burrito was what I got night one and it was amazing! Perfect for hustling around the convention working all day.
Then we came back the next day! Ritchie was our server and when reading reviews, I can see why he gets high critiques. As a fellow server, I was very impressed with his ability to entertain and his knowledge on everything and offering suggestions. I can tell he loves what he does which is huge in this industry. It makes a difference for the dining experience for a lot of people so it is much appreciated.
Would absolutely come back again next time we are in town! Loved it here! Thanks to the amazing crew to make my chaotic weekend be a lovely one!

This may be the place to be before a Lions game! It was good Tex Mex food with strong drinks and friendly service. The cheese enchiladas could use more sauce for sure. I asked for more and was charged for it :/

We called on Monday to let get a reservation for Saturday knowing that it will be busy. We’ve been here 3 years in a row and unfortunately, it’s our last. When we called on Monday we reminded them of the State Wrestling Finals and other scheduled events and expect to be busier than usual. Unfortunately, when we called around 11am yesterday there was no record of any reservation. We arrived at the restaurant and were told there was only 1 server, 1 bartender, 1 busser, 1 cook. We’ve experienced this before but didn’t think it would be this bad. Chips and salsa came right away but drinks took over 30 minutes. 4 waters, 4 soft drinks. During that time we placed our order which took another 40 mins to arrive….well partially arrive. One order came complete, two others were incorrect, and one of our party never got their chimichanga before we had to leave. There was a party of 15 that came in after us, sat down and realized they wouldn’t be served, so they left. The food was good, I’ll give them that but to not be prepared and then bring a tables orders out over a 15 minute window is ridiculous.

My wife and I were staying at the Atheneum to celebrate her birthday when we decided to stop in Locos tacos to have dinner and some margaritas. It was around 9pm on a Thursday and to be honest it was rather dead in there so our expectations were pretty low, but that quickly turned around. We were greeted by who would end up being our waiter and told to sit wherever we wanted. Our waiter (Richie) quickly brought out chips and salsa and once i told him I was interested in a margarita he quickly named off all 25 flavors like he’s a margarita rap star waiting to be discovered! I got a passion fruit and my wife got a watermelon, both amazing but if you really want one to blow your socks off ask for the Richie special, you won’t be disappointed!! Given it wasn’t busy we really didn’t have high expectations for the food, boy were we wrong. I ordered the 3 deep fried tacos with shredded chicken. My wife ordered the flautas with shredded chicken. Everything came out piping hot which most places these days struggle with that even when they are busy so that was really a pleasant surprise. The shredded chicken was so flavorful and probably the best we’ve ever had!! Overall it was such a wonderful experience and really an unexpected highlight for my wife’s birthday. Richie was an amazing waiter and really made the experience even more special, thank you!!

Richie is the best server ever. Was there for a conference and his attention to detail was amazing and he made our meal so much fun. He played my playlist during dinner, made great drinks. It was his service that made our group come back the next day! And as soon as we sat, my playlist was on again. He set up karaoke, we invited more people and had the best time. Richie made the good food an amazing experience!!

Went in on a Saturday afternoon. They only had one server working and a bar tender. We waited 20 minutes for chips and salsa. After 40 minutes of no drinks or food ordering, we left. Place looked cool and smelled amazing. Wish we could have ate there.

Richie is the MAN. He pours a damn good margarita and the service is top tier. I docked the food a peg because I wish there was a bit more authentic Mexican (chorizo, corn tortillas with onion & cilantro, etc.) but for Tex mex you can’t beat this place. It’s all great.

Richie was amazing!! He made the experience so much fun and I already want to go back! He listed every single margarita flavor that they offer and there are 25! I had a raspberry mango margarita and it was SO yummy! He also gave each person their own salsa which I really appreciated. We could double dip and no issues.
