Food hot,fresh,but bland. The garlic wing didn’t have any flavor. The bread was the best part. Maybe the softest bread ive ever had. The appitizer ravioli was cold in the middle. I had the lobster ravioli and shrimp with pink sauce. I only got 4 ravioli which were good but the shrimp was rubbery and came in a pool of sauce. If there was something like an angel hair pasta added to it, it might have been worth it but I’m not about just drink the sauce which was a little bland also. My wife had chicken Della casa which was a chicken breast in a spinach and Alfredo sauce. She said it was good just not filling due to the plate being mostly sauce. Service was ok being there were only a handful of tables being occupied. Atmosphere reminds me of an older pizza hut. Overall it was not a bad meal but also not the best.

Mario’s Restaurant was absolutely awesome! From the moment we sat down, we could tell this was going to be a great meal. The service was friendly and the atmosphere had that warm and welcoming feel that makes you want to settle in and enjoy every bite.
I ordered the chicken marsala and was completely blown away. The sauce was rich and flavorful, the chicken was perfectly cooked, and the whole dish just melted together beautifully. It is one of those meals you think about long after you leave. My wife had the chicken parm and said it was one of the best she has ever had. It was crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and topped with a delicious marinara and melted cheese.
Our kids had pasta with both the beef marinara and the Alfredo sauce, and both were a hit. The beef marinara had a hearty and homemade flavor, and the Alfredo was creamy and smooth without being too heavy.
And I cannot forget to mention the homemade rolls they bring out. These things are out of this world. Soft, buttery, and perfectly baked. You can tell they are made fresh, and they are the kind of rolls you cannot stop eating even when you are already full.
Everything from start to finish was top notch. If you are traveling through the area or lucky enough to live nearby, definitely give Mario’s a try. You will not be disappointed. This place knows how to do it right!

We LOVED the food and the decor. The service was wonderful. It’s a true family business and we loved getting to support. We got the calamari (best I’ve ever had) the shrimp and Veal Lemoni as well as the Aldo’s special (my favorite). The tiramisu and the lemoncello, both were excellent! Highly recommend.

Driving through and picked this place on a whim. Honestly, this might have been the BEST Italian food I’ve ever had. The Frutti de mare and Lobster ravioli were worth every penny. Absolutely delicious. And dipping the garlic knots into either sauce was heaven. I had no choice but to order 2 things of pink sauce to go or my stomach would never forgive me. Autumn was a great server as well. We contemplated getting a hotel for the night, just to go back.

So we are from Houston, just passing through on the way to Atlanta, and stopped for the night in Hattiesburg. We were tired and hungry. Our choice was between Cracker Barrel and Mario’s Italian Restaurant. We certainly weren’t expecting much from an Italian restaurant in Hattiesburg, MS, but anything is better than Cracker Barrel. Man! This was really good! Service was excellent too! Tasted just as good as some of the fancy Houston Italian places and for about 1/2 the price. Good job Mario’s!! Highly recommend.

The stuffed mushroom dip was awesome. Fried ravioli was also good with the wonderful marinara sauce.
Two of us ordered the lasagna and it was very good with the bread they serve. One ordered the chicken parmesan and said it was okay. Service was very good, overall would recommend.

We enjoyed our dinner here. My son was a little bummed that he didn’t get his pizza for dinner but we ordered a tasty alternative for him. We will definitely return if we stop in Hattisburg again.

I reserved the party room for a Faculty/Staff Christmas lunch here for 65+ people. The owner was so kind and helpful. The prices were great, the food was fantastic, and our servers worked so hard to make our experience as smooth as possible. For small lunches, family dinners, or large parties I always recommend Mario’s. We will absolutely be back again! <3

We were in town visiting for the muscadine bloodline concert and decided to stay another night and this was our choice for dinner. The food was absolutely delicious, our waitress was sweet as she could be and offered great recommendations! The price was super reasonable and there was no wait! Definitely worth every penny!
