This was my 2nd visit here, I thought since the 1st one was so awesome….let’s do it again, huhhh well the Atmosphere was still very energized crowd watching the Hoosier game [it was just starting when I came] i sat at bar, every spot was almost full . The bartender is always so serious (concentrating?) Didn’t smile 1st time or this one either-towards anyone as far as I could see. I had a happy hour pink lemonade shot/tasty and ordered the same thing I had 1st time around…must have been a new chef in the kitchen because I ordered to-go this time since I was going to the movies across from them and I specifically asked for extra salsa (they put NONE in bag and NO utensils or napkins) i ordered a 2nd shot while waiting for my order. When I got to movies to dig in, little ticked off I had to eat with my hands cold* food that was pretty messy…step up your to go game Barneys Beanery….PLEASE! Oh yeah side note: During the National Athem the cameras panned to President Trump in the stands the entire bar broke out in a long loud “Booooooooooooooo!!!” …..seems like even tho while drinking and having fun, people are pissed at state of the world.

Got braised beef nachos with: cheese, sour cream, guacamole , salsa. It was delicious. Service was good, server brought me more salsa. The atmosphere was good, plenty of TV’s covering the whole wall. The place is covered with license plates; the menu comes attached to a license plate. The men’s bathroom has beer kegs for urinals; the bathroom was clean. There are a couple of pool tables upstairs. Downstairs is a more quiet relaxed zone with about 2 dozen tables. Happy hour 4-7 PM from Monday thru Friday.

What a wonderful wonderful place! This is now my favorite Barneys location anywhere. Just wonderful ambience and vibes. Really nice outdoor patio on the third street promenade with cozy booths and a beautiful long bar with extremely comfortable chairs, as well as plenty of comfortable booth seating throughout the whole restaurant. A lot of very entertaining eye candy everywhere as well as plenty of games on the second level. Pool tables, Pac-Man, air hockey etc., etc.. very beautiful layout and TVs absolutely everywhere. They have some pretty fun events Monday through Friday like movie night, trivia night, karaoke night. Even a pool league! What a fun place!
Skinny cocktail was made to perfection and my only complaint is the two times we ordered cocktails, we had to ask where they were. The bartender didn’t seem to be focused on her job at all. Abigail was fantastic. Great personality and a great server!
I had the Bueno and Solada. Taco shell was fried perfectly and all the lovely flavorful, shredded chicken and sautéed peppers and Coquita cheese and lovely amount of beans smeared on the bottom was just divine. He had the chicken quesadilla and it looked lovely. He said it was good. Next time I’m in this area I will definitely come back in. Fabulous!

We have visited this restaurant several times in the past and have generally had a good experience. Unfortunately, our most recent visit was very disappointing.
The food was overly greasy, and some dishes even arrived cold. To make matters worse, we had to wait a very long time for our meals, which was quite frustrating. The service was also not up to standard — the staff seemed rather unfriendly and inattentive, which made the overall atmosphere less welcoming.
We truly hope this was just an off day, as we’ve enjoyed this place before. However, based on this latest visit, we are hesitant to return anytime soon.

If you’re ever on the 3rd Street Promenade and craving good beer + a relaxed vibe, Barney’s Beanery is that spot. The draft list isn’t tiny a solid mix of well-known crafts and imports and the bottled selection rounds it out nicely.
Inside, it feels casual and friendly: a long bar, cozy booths, plenty of people watching, some sports on the TVs sometimes loud, sometimes chill depending on the hour. The patio adds to the charm too for when you want sunshine and promenade energy.
All in all, it’s a great place to kick back with friends, try a brew you’ve been meaning to, and soak up Santa Monica without getting too fancy.

We ordered food to go, both burgers but we ended up dining in, it was both 10/10! Love the atmosphere and the style indoors, a lil bit crowded but it was great overall. Some drunk guy gave us some weird look and came up to me and my friend and sat beside us by the bar squeezing himself in even tho there was a lot other chairs, we told him to sit somewhere else because the chairs are wobbly too and making it difficult for everybody. Lil did we know, the bartender that we have that time, Andres was the manager at the same time and jumped right in the situation without hesitation knowing that we were getting very uncomfortable. He asked the guy too leave atleast 10x but didn’t listened, he tild him to call the coos so andres did the guy eventually left.
That was very commendable for Andres to jump right in and reading his clients’ behaviors to take that action! ❤️

Friendly service. HUGE portions of food. All the sports!! Pool tables.
Can’t go wrong at the LA staple whether you are local or visiting.
During big games, it gets busy, but still feels like a down home neighborhood spot.
Indoor and patio seating. Plenty of screens, so you can catch all the action ⚾️ ⚽️
Food is delicious and portions are big enough to share or take some home.

Excellent service from the waitresses. We had a great meal, and a great variety of beers. You should try the local beer. We loved the place. We’ll be back.

absolutely worth every penny. We are not locals. You’re looking at about $20 a plate. We had the Philly cheesesteak sandwich and the BBQ bacon juicy Lucy burger. hubby and I cut both in half and each had a half of peice of both. Both of us were very impressed with the taste and quality. kudos to the cook tonight! you did an excellent job!I had a margarita while he had a beer. prices and size are acceptable and the margarita was made well. highly recommend if you’re not in a rush. We sat on the patio and people watched which brought us so much laughter so even though the wait was a little long for food, we didn’t mind at all while we laughed and enjoyed our drinks. and the wait makes sense since the food was so good. The cook made our food with love. We will definitely visit again to try other things on the menu. every plate we watched go to other tables look so delicious as well! They had pool tables inside and sports playing on the TVs as well but we didnt go inside as we were enjoying each other on our date night!
