Came at 8pm and still a long queue outside the door, waited for 20 minutes and it was worth the wait. Husband ordered the wagyu tan tan udon, it was spicey but tasted good. I ordered the popular everything or deluxe, so had the wagyu beef sukiyaki udon and daughter had the beef udon. We were quite happy with the food and service, and they offered to “supersize” the meal at no extra cost, so might as well!

If you are looking for a great happy hour this is a good choice. You must request the secret menu to receive 50% off specific menu items between 2:00-5:30pm. It’s much better than the happy hour prices. The 50% off menu item price’s are printed in gold under the menu item. I reccomend the sushi rolls, fried chicken and cucumber salad. The udon noodles were good. $3.00 Sapporo draft beer is a bargain. Make sure to check that you received your 50% discount when you receive your bill. The service is very good.

It’s closer to 3 1/2 stars but not 4. Large restaurant, a branch of restaurants in Japan (saw one in Karuizawa). Large selection BUT my experience here have been mixed from having a decent meal to having an aweful experience of upset stomach probably from bad seafood (sashimi). Tehy draw a decent lunch crowd because of several lunch specials with happy hour and kamaaina “discount”. You will get full if ordering a set lunch meal that included huge udon noodle dish. They hook you in with the gigantic udon bowl and offering large size “free”. Basically you get stuffed with starch as other included dishes like tempura or sashimi are small and of underwhelming quality. For example, they use the snaller shrimp cut and stretched out in tempura batter to make it look bigger. It’s hit or miss with sashimi with concern over it’s freshness and quality. The huge is basically lot of noodles in soup with nothing else in it. By the way, the $6 handroll is a joke and a total rip-off. My friend ordered 3 pieces for $18 and our jaws dropped at its’ small size for that price. I tried nabeyake udon and, for the price, it was totally underwhelming with weak, watery soup base. Order a set menu with tempura, sushi, and udon and it will fill you up, if that’s your goal. Otherwise, be ready for hit or miss with quality and taste.

Solid place for udon / japanese fare. I would definitely recommend to try and go for Happy Hour. I love that you can upgrade your bowl to a large free of charge, but not if you get a set. So if you go during HH I would have ordered the set items a la carte. It would probably have been cheaper. Tried a few things like the cheesy chicken (recommend!) And the butter class (skip). It was a great option to feed my ravenous teens.

Excellent udon restaurant. We came here for lunch, and I got the Signature Lunch Set with Chicken Curry Udon and a side of Sizzling Wagyu Rice. Both were delicious, and for $20 was a good deal, considering Hawaii prices in general. Service was great — the hostess was gracious and attentive, and our waiter was knowledgeable and friendly. We’ll be back!

The food was decent overall, but I want to give others a heads-up. The restaurant adds a mandatory kitchen fee on top of the menu prices. While it is technically disclosed on the menu, the font is extremely small and very easy to miss. It felt disappointing to see an unexpected charge on the bill. I personally don’t agree with this type of additional fee and think it should be clearly incorporated into the listed prices.

Also, the window-side seating area had a noticeable unpleasant odor — it smelled like an old, damp, mildew-like cleaning cloth. It made the dining experience less enjoyable.

Just sharing so others are aware before dining here.

I came here when it was relatively new back in 2018 and it was fantastic. Fast forward to 2026 and im not surprised to see quality control has gone down. I came here starving at a point where anything would taste great. Not today. I asked for the large but ended up with barely any noodles.

Could it be since it was near closing that I got soggy noodles that melted in my mouth? The tempura veggies were raw and my kids didnt like their sausage appetizers. My wagyu noodles came without the wagyu.

Shout out to my server tho. He really went beyond to make up for our experience.

This restaurant was surprisingly very disappointing. The server recommended we order the number one item from the menu as well as the curry that was number four on the highly recommended menu. The number one rated item that we ordered was honestly not appetizing at all. It was just a bunch of meats, boiled in super plain, barely seasoned water. The noodles were cooked well, but some of the chicken tasted super raw. We also ordered some appetizers of chicken karage, cucumbers, and some drinks. The curry is definitely a 10 out of 10, but nothing else on the menu was worth it. After proceeding to tell the server that my order was super bad, she did nothing to make my experience at the restaurant better.

Diego was great. Awesome udon an sushi, plus $3.00 Sapporo is the best. That’s their September special.

But not a fan of the 2% kitchen fee
