Went got donuts for my kids this morning. And when I got home I noticed there was hair on the donut. That immediately spoiled their appetite and they didn’t want them anymore. I never had a problem with them before but this makes me don’t want to go back.

I had a really disappointing experience at Gerald’s Donuts.
I ordered glazed beignets, but apparently their system didn’t add them correctly. When we arrived, the employee at the counter asked the cook about the beignets, and instead of handling it professionally, he came out with a horrible attitude. He was extremely rude and said (verbatim) that he was “not making any damn beignets!” and that he didn’t care if the system messed up.
The way he spoke to the woman working the front was completely disrespectful and uncomfortable to witness. No one deserves to be talked to like that—especially over a mistake that wasn’t their fault.
To make it worse, the order was refunded without any explanation. I was left standing there waiting, not knowing what was going on. When I asked about the beignets, I was casually told they had refunded it because they “can’t make it.” No apology. No communication.
If someone hates their job that much, they shouldn’t be taking it out on customers or coworkers. Unfortunately, because of the rude behavior and lack of basic customer service, I won’t be returning.

Went here looking for a couple dozen of hot glazed donuts. They told me they didn’t have enough dough to make any donuts. So I went to the other Gerald’s donuts location and they also told me they didn’t have enough dough to make anymore donuts. I’m not sure if they were really out of dough at both locations or if the staff was just too lazy to make donuts. They seemed pretty lazy to me.

I had an excellent breakfast passing thru on a working vacation, it was fast service, the food was excellent, the atmosphere was great, very competitive pricing and the outside seating with the frosting on a cake. Thank you to all the staff, servers, cooks and owners for giving me a great experience for breakfast. Highly recommend and will return in the future.

I ordered 6 wings with fries and a dozen of donuts. The total for that was $37.92. When I received my food, I opened it up to look at it. I basically had no fries. They have given me not even a hand full. So, I asked the server there was a mistake. The cook didn’t give me enough fries with my order. She told me If I want more I would have to order another serving of fries, because that is what they normally serve. Now, this is after 1am in the morning. I just got off work and I’m starving. So, to not make a fuss. I ordered onion rings which came up to $5.49 in total. When they brought it to me, it was five onion rings. I counted them. I just left in disgust. When I got home I started eating the onion rings. I instantly became mad. I couldn’t tell when I was in the restaurant because of the batter. These people have fried the outer layer of the onion, the skin part. I’m chewing and was wondering why its hard to chew. Mind you I live 30 mins away from this restaurant. The wings was not good, I’ve definitely had better. The donuts were ok. I gave a donut to my niece and she’s 9. She didn’t like it and she loves donuts. I spent a total of $43.41 and wish I haven’t. I would NEVER go back to this place. The portions and the taste of the food was not satisfying. The only reason I went in the first place is because it’s open 24 hours and I have just got off work that early morning. I don’t recommend this place to anyone. There’s to many good restaurants in Louisiana to deal with this establishment. This all took place on 10/11/25.

Have to give a 5 star because it is more than a 4 star. Open 24 hours. Nice little diner which was what we wanted. Donuts are great and breakfast was fine too. Big Ole pancake too. Nice to have a 24 hour place like this.

Just wanted to say how awesome Brittany, Alexa, and Alecia are at Gerald’s Donuts in Arabi! They’re always so sweet, super helpful, and just really fun to chat with. You can tell they really care about the customers and make you feel right at home every time you walk in.
The place is always clean, the vibes are great — and don’t even get me started on the breakfast… it’s so good! If you haven’t tried it yet, you’re seriously missing out. Thanks, ladies, for always making my mornings better!
I also wanted to add that Chef Bo is hands-down the best cook at Gerald’s Donuts. His donuts are legendary, his breakfasts are unbeatable, and everything he makes comes with a side of good vibes.
Not only is he a kitchen wizard, he’s also the **#1 49ers fan** in town — repping red and gold with pride. And even as a die-hard Niners guy,
Gerald’s wouldn’t be the same without Bo. Great food, great energy — he’s the real MVP.
Jessica is one of the best parts of going to Gerald’s Donuts. She’s always in a great mood, super friendly, and just has this way of making your day better. You can tell she really enjoys what she does, and her positive attitude is seriously contagious. Even on a rough morning, she’ll have me smiling before I even take a bite of my donut. She’s the kind of person every place needs!

New Year’s Eve at 10 am, I stopped in for coffee and an apple fritter, there were 3, ladies behind the counter, two were busy the other was chit chatting with a lady and a man. I waited and the in busy one looked at me did not utter a word and went into the kitchen. There were approximately 6 people in total. I am a tall woman so she couldn’t not see me. I will not be returning there!
