Waffle House is a classic. It’s meant to be local, so if you’re in Chamblee, you’re getting the full Chamblee experience. It’s Waffle House, for goodness’ sake, I don’t understand some of these reviews complaining. Again it’s Waffle House. By the way the people serving are very nice.

The presentation of the food is great. However, I guess there’s a rule against flavor sticker sausage patties, strictly eggs. Add your own seasoning. The waitress basically rushed me to leave bc she was leaving ….i just left the food and did as she requested bc my appetite left at that point…but it is the waffle house can’t expect exceptional service I guess….

Never had a single issue here with sit down and to-go-only orders late night.

Usually late nights are managed only with a small crew and with the doors locked and only to-go orders.

This was the most unpleasant experience I’ve had. I went to buy a chicken bowl, hashbrown, and a waffle. I did not order any drink. On top of the food price, I was charged an extra $3 just for ordering takeout, and they said that if I ate inside, they wouldn’t charge the $3.

This seems ridiculous and abusive to customers. I would not return to this place.

I waited over 30 minutes for my order, only to be handed someone else’s food. When I went back to let the cashier know, she picked up my order from a table where it had apparently been sitting the entire time. No apology was offered and the cashier rolled her eyes at me, despite the fact that my order had been ready while I was waiting and watching customers who ordered after me receive their food first.

This might have been the worst food I’ve ever had at a Waffle House. I live 3 minutes away and by time I got home it was cold. The hash browns were burnt and dry and I didn’t even get what I ordered. I could tell the guy who took our order was new so I’m not bashing him. But the cook did a terrible job. I let my girlfriend pick up the order but had I seen it I would have requested my money back and went elsewhere. I wish took pictures but it was already cold and I was hungry so I biked it in the microwave.

One of the better Waffle Houses.

I’m in here once a season or so as it’s close to my work. I was raised on Waffle House. My dad owned a service station with a Waffle House in the parking lot.

The staff varies here but is generally friendly and on the ball. Today, was not their best day. I caught them in the middle of cleaning up between shift change and the cook seemed to be new.

Okay, keep in mind that those are the words of somebody who’s been eating a Waffle Houses since the early seventies. Still, my chicken and eggs, or as Paul Simon would say, the “mother and child reunion,” was still tasty and delicious.

It’s worth noting that they had a sign saying that there were only to-go orders on Friday and Saturday night between 8:30 and 6:00 a.m. Accordingly, they have installed walk up Windows for “Order here” and “Pick up here” like a small town 70s burger stand.

Even with a few rough edges in today’s experience, this is one of the better Waffle Houses. For $14+tip it’s hard to beat this freshly cooked, hot meal with friendly table service.

The food was delicious but the server was terrible. Jayla is rude and asks inappropriate questions about whether or not customers make a mess in the restroom. Thankfully the cook is a great guy and brought us our food when she couldn’t be bothered to do so.
