but what really made the night stand out, though, was the wait staff. Our server was incredibly attentive, knowledgeable about the menu, and made great recommendations. The whole team worked together seamlessly—our water glasses were never empty and the timing of every course was spot on.
Food was out of this world.
pasta filled short rip!
The steaks melted in you mouth! We did a waygu and a porterhouse.
Always a good experience.
You can dress up or just wear some jeans and a nice shirt.
Good vibes!
Try if if you haven’t
Also make a reservation if you can!!!
We kicked off the evening with the seasonal Crudo, featuring exquisite bluefin tuna that was fresh, vibrant, and simply melted in the mouth—an absolute highlight. The Caesar salad was another standout, generously portioned for two and bursting with flavor, perfectly balancing crisp romaine, creamy dressing, and just the right amount of crunch.
For our main course, we opted for the Australian Wagyu skirt steak, cooked to a flawless medium-rare. It was tender, juicy, and packed with rich, savory depth. The accompanying sides—brussels sprouts and fingerling potatoes—were expertly prepared, offering a delightful mix of textures and flavors that complemented the steak beautifully.
Dessert was a seasonal crème brûlée that was pure indulgence, with a perfectly caramelized crust giving way to a silky, flavorful custard. We capped the night with espresso martinis and espresso, both of which were impeccably crafted and the perfect end to an unforgettable meal.
Our waiter, JT, deserves special praise for his attentiveness and warmth. He anticipated our every need, making the experience feel personal and seamless. While Butcher’s Block is undeniably on the pricier side, it’s worth every penny for a special occasion like this. The ambiance, service, and food all come together to create something truly exceptional.
We left feeling delighted and already looking forward to our next visit. For anyone seeking a memorable dining experience, I wholeheartedly recommend Butcher’s Block!
To make it worse, this isn’t even a place you can walk into—we had to make a reservation months in advance, only to be completely disappointed. Expectations were high because of how hard it is to get a table, and the experience didn’t come close to matching that buildup.
We went here to celebrate a birthday, and it wasn’t acknowledged at all—not even a simple “happy birthday.” For a restaurant charging these prices, that lack of basic hospitality is unacceptable. Management should consider something as simple as generic birthday cards or a small gesture to make guests feel recognized.
Service timing was poor. We had our drinks and appetizer, then the bread was dropped off with the comment, “I had to fight for the bread for you,” which felt unprofessional. Our sides arrived first, and then we waited another 10 minutes before our steaks were served. Completely disorganized pacing.
The decor is nice, but the restaurant is extremely loud, and the overall atmosphere caters to a snotty, see-and-be-seen crowd. It feels more like a place to take pictures than to enjoy a quality meal.
We spent over $700 for 3 people, and on top of that were charged an additional 3% fee just to pay with a credit card. At this price level, that feels excessive and leaves a bad final impression.
The only positive was the bus staff, who were attentive and did a great job.
Overall, not worth the hype, not worth the price, and definitely not worth planning months in advance to celebrate special occasion.
If you’re looking for exceptional food and a great overall dining experience, this place is a must-try!
Service – second to nobody!
The Ambiance/Architecture – Second to nobody!!
Food – second to nobody!!
That Bread – Second to nobody!!!!
We were with a party of 26. Let me tell you, the service hit the mark 100% and then some. Beyond exceptional!! Even when I walked around to admire the entire restaurant and browse, the staff was beyond amazing!! Again, this establishment hits the mark 100%. I even got to meet the butcher and the General Manager even stopped by the table to routinely check on us.
We got to try almost everything on the menu. Most memorable – EVERYTHING, literally!!
