Great Quick Lunch Spot in Leavenworth!
We visited Leavenworth Sausage Garten during the summer and arrived right around lunchtime. Compared to other restaurants in the area, the wait time was much shorter even during the lunch rush. The setup is fast-casual: you order and pay upfront, which makes the process quick and easy.

The bratwurst was absolutely amazing juicy, flavorful, and grilled to perfection. They offer a self-serve station with plenty of condiments, toppings, and even water, which is super convenient. There’s also shaded seating and misting fans to help beat the summer heat, which was a nice touch.

If you’re in a hurry or just want something delicious without the long wait, this is definitely the place to go!

Love bratwurst sausages! A cousin of mine lives locally and recommended another sausage place nearby. I’m so glad we came here. The line moved faster than the other place, customer service was excellent and most importantly, the bratwurst, mashed potatoes and beer were delicious. Looking forward to coming back in the near future.

Solid spot for a beer garden vibe rain/snow/shine. Communal seating, share a table and make new friends!

Pro tip- they sell all their sausages next door for retail at a shop called “Cured”.

Best pretzels and sausages in Leavenworth, and the only mustard bar in town (cranberry is my favorite). Great staff, quick service, lots of seating with heaters. Pet friendly.

Solid. We are definitely fans of the sausage place across the street, but were looking to purchase at ‘Cured’ (meat market), and thought why not try their product at this place, which they feature? Nice choice. The sausage from Cured is excellent, but the star of the show was their cranberry condiment, which went on everything we ordered. Yes, even the pretzel. Chatting with folks around us, everyone was asking if we tried, ‘the cranberry?’ Gonna rip that recipe off when I get home. Nice crew, and like their competitor, the most affordable dining option in an el touristo town. Ignore the bad reviews. These guys are good…

Ok we were there early on a chilly Thursday morning so I can’t speak to wait time. But as a former Wisconsin resident I can speak to flavor. It was like a taste of home. We like dark beer. Bartender was knowledgeable and helped us pick 2 perfect for our taste. Bratwurst was excellent. And most impressive to me the sauerkraut. Really hard to find that right balance af tartness. I thoroughly enjoyed my food and the overall experience

We had the bratwurst dog and a pretzel, both of which were really delicious! There is a condiment bar available where you can add any type of sauce to your ‘hot dog’ including the works – ketchup, relish, onion, etc. Ample seating outside covered by umbrellas. It can get pretty hot to sit out when it’s about 100 degrees as it was today, but there are water misters all around the seating area that help to cool you off which I thought was really neat!

Sausage base price is $10, which seemed a little high. No French fries. Nice condiment bar and fairly quick service for the covered outdoor seating. Easy option while visiting downtown.

I come here everytime I’m in Leavenworth. Today’s visit has me thinking I will try the other restaurants serving brats. The bratwurst were good as usual. The watered down Mug rootbeer for $5 sucked. We tried to order the German potato salad like normal but they where out. The server recommended the sausage and potato soup. For $9 it was a rip off. Not to mention the small size, I spooned thru that cup of soup I didn’t find one single piece of sausage a 4 little cubes of potatoes. It was all spinach and carrots and I think bell peppers. You would think a $9 8oz cup of sausage and potato soup would have sausage and potatoes. Especially from a restaurant that prides itself in their sausages. 20 plus year patron and I will explore other dining options on my next trip.

On a side note. Craft rootbeer for those that dont drink beer. Blewett brewing is local. Scuttlebutt, diamond knot, public coast( the absolute best IMO), Hell even cans of pelican brewing can be had for $3 in town. Watered down mug for $5 was a huge miss
