Good quality food and friendly service.

Our family stopped by Mt Bethel Diner in Feb 2025 for an early dinner. The place is a typical small diner. All the food we ordered was tasty and of good quality. The service was quick, friendly, and accurate. Portions were generous. Prices were very reasonable. This is not of course an upscale restaurant but for a small diner it gets 5 stars. Very importantly my burger was done exactly as ordered – medium rare! Thanks!

Food ordered
Boneless Chicken Wings – this is in fact regular chicken nuggets, as it’s what “boneless wings” are.
Spinach Pie – great! A bit on salty side, but within normal range.
French Onion Soup
Tomato Soup
Chicken Fingers
Philly Cheesesteak
Italian Steak Sandwich
Mushroom Burger Deluxe

Good diner food. No frills but solid taste. The cherry cheesecake was creamy and rich and I savored every bite.
Bathroom was a dingy.

At eight in the morning on a Thursday there was a pretty decent crowd inside, but still plenty of seating. Our waitress was super nice and very attentive. Had their Two egg plate with the Pork Roll and the French toast. Never had pork roll, but it was good! The food came out fast, was hot and fresh and they didn’t skimp on the portion. The only con on the food was the over easy eggs were medium and the French toast could have had, well a lil more French to them. They were a little lite in the flavor dept. The prices were fair and I felt like I got the bang with my buck. Looking at the decor you can tell the diner has been around a long time and could probably use a little TLC (ex: our seats had some duct tape repairs), but that was also part of the charm of the place. All & all the experience was decent and I’m glad I stopped in!!

Have been coming here since I was a kid. Have always loved it. I understand the cost of things is going up and they are still super reasonable, but it seems that to keep the prices reasonable the portions are tanking. I always get their chicken parm. It used to be two huge pieces of chicken with a little bit of pasta. Today at least 2/3 of my plate was a heap of pasta and in the last remaining bit of my plate they fit two small pieces of chicken parm. They weren’t quite as good as usual either. The chicken lemon rice soup and the pierogies with bacon and onion saved the meal. I will give them another try, hoping today was just an off day.

If you order the Mount Bethel Burger special you may not be able to open your mouth wide enough. This puts any other Burger to shame with two double extra thick patties. I’m glad they’re is an option for sweet potato fries which I love. This is the quintessential American Small Town Diner in every way. There are stools at the counter, boots and tables in the spacious interior. The service was very friendly and prompt. The prices are very reasonable. There is ample parking on all sides of the building. parking.

3/4 Update: Still a homey dinner! Absolutely the best prices in the region! Worth a stop. Nothing fancy, but solid, comfort food!

Update: Made a pit stop this morning, it was relatively quiet before 8am. Super quick service. Cora was excellent — just the right combination of friendly but efficient.

A true local dinner! Prices are unbeatable! Literally anywhere in nearby NJ or NEPA!
The facilities could really use an update and the bathroom is awkwardly shaped/formatted.
But staff is friendly & service is reasonably quick.

Used Google on a trip from NYC to Buffalo. Checked along route for decent restaurant to grab some lunch. Dawn was our waitress and was on top of everything. 3 ppl. I had a club with rare roast beef & French fries. Companion 1 had the MT Bethel Burger. It was huge and well prepared. Companion 2 had a BLT, crispy bacon. Everything was fresh, generous & well prepared.

We came for memorial day weekend and it was decently populated. The service was friendly and we received our food quickly. It was absolutely delicious…even for a diner. The stuffed french toast, the pancakes, the omelets, and eggs. Loved it! Also can go wrong with the pricing!

Great Mom and Pop diner feel. Went there for breakfast. Portions were generous, pricing was very affordable, and food tasted great. They also have great hot coffee. (We drink ours black.)

The food is really great, great prices. Only thing, it took 40 mins for us to get our food since we sat down. And there were only 2 other guests there. Also, place needs and upgrade. But overall, pretty good
