Such a cute little vibe in Prestonsburg! Food was good, service was friendly, and the atmosphere was calm and chill while you over hear the waitresses gossip . It was really nice and I’ll be back!

Cute restaurant friendly service! Prices are cheap, decent portion size. Food quality not great it advertised homemade food but taste more like it came from a distributor. But they do offer something for everyone. So if you have a large picky family this would be the place to go that everyone can find something.

Fabulous breakfast and wonderful service from Maryanne. Just a shame we couldn’t fit in any of the delicious cakes! Next time! Thanks for a wonderful Diner experience.

I was in Prestonburg, KY for the weekend and a friend suggested Billy Ray’s. I went for supper on a Friday night and they were busy. Which is a good sign. Lots of choices on the menu but I chose the Country Fried Steak with mashed potatoes and green beans.
My waitress was very nice and good, even though she was swamped. She said I couldn’t come to Billy Ray’s without trying the coleslaw. It was amazing! Great food. Great atmosphere and the location is really neat downtown. Highly recommend.

I come to town about twice a year and always make sure to make it to billy rays. Their ranch dressing is so good. The hot dog is good and of course their open face roast beef. Love the shrimp scampi but the most looked over thing is the green beans. Make sure to get them, taste like mamaw made them for real. And the baklava is Devine, my daughter doesn’t even like store bought baklava and she loves it from Billy rays. Honestly all the sweets are good. I had the cream horns last year and if they have them get them. Whoever makes the sweets must make them with love because they have that extra something that makes them amazing. Billy rays just never disappoints. Staff is super friendly. The little blonde girl that takes my to go order is the sweetest thing. All of them have that southern hospitality right down to the cooks.. the guy with the braid and the dark haired girl are top notch. The longest I’ve ever waited on my order is ten minutes. Oh and they have that good ice, if you know you know

Had a cheeseburger and fries at a very modest price. The little diner feels like a local landmark, but the food is good enough to hold up against the best anywhere. Everyone was polite and welcoming. The restaurant was clean, and they even had hot sauce on the table. The menu is easy to understand. No gimmicks or hidden stuff. Despite the rural hometown charm, no one bats an eye if a stranger wonders in. Best experience I’ve had in Kentucky!

I cannot add anything new to the positive reviews others have posted: wonderful breakfast (we’ve never eaten later than breakfast), very healthy portions, the country ham is to die for, as is the biscuits & gravy! Wonderful, welcoming staff (even to out of Towner Buckeyes like us), reasonable prices. Beautiful, rustic building that is well maintained. Parking can be a challenge; small parking lot, on street parking. Well worth the trip!
