One of the finest Indian Restaurants in Bath, Bandook Restaurant offers an Indian street food dining experience. Our story began in Bristol, where the passionate and highly experienced team behind the award- winning fine dining Indian restaurants Mint Room in Bath and Bristol, had a vision to create a modern, casual dining, Indian street food restaurant. A restaurant which would be fun, relaxed yet creates a “wow” factor with its cooking. This is exactly what they did with the intimate and informal Bandook Indian Kitchen, in the desirable, neighbourhood hub of Bristol’s Wapping Wharf.

For starters Bandook Chat, a single dahi bhalla in a potato basket, could be punchy. Paneer Tikka Masala (main dish), chunky paneer pieces in tomato sauce, was far too liquid and sweet. As a side, we ordered Palak Makai with few dots of baby corn, was our main highlight of lunch. Laccha parath recommended.
The best part? The prices were incredibly affordable, making it an excellent value for the quality and quantity of food served. Whether you’re a foodie or just looking for a great meal, Bandook is a must-visit. Can’t wait to go back!
Highly recommended!

What made the experience even better was the staff. They were exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and genuinely generous with their service. From the moment we walked in, I felt well taken care of.
If you’re looking for amazing food paired with warm hospitality, I’d definitely recommend Bandook. It’s a place worth visiting again and again!
From the moment we arrived, the staff were friendly, welcoming and made us feel completely at ease. It’s such a relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere.
The food was absolutely delicious — full of flavour and beautifully presented. I highly recommend the Railway Lamb Curry — the lamb was incredibly tender and rich with warming spices. Every dish we ordered was fresh, vibrant and clearly made with care.
The mango lassi was the perfect refreshing finish to the meal — smooth, cooling and not overly sweet.
A fantastic experience all round. We’ll definitely be returning and would highly recommend to anyone visiting Bath.
