Really enjoyed our Saturday afternoon, two weeks ago, at Akademia! The service was great and the food was super good, ESPECIALLY the burgers! We started with fried pickles and there’s more than enough for 4 with that appetizer.
We both had burgers, cooked at different temps, both delicious with that great old fashioned burger flavor. Not taking a star away but I’d rather have had a regular burger bun than a pretzel bun as I’m just not a fan. I had the Brussels sprouts as my side, more than enough for 2 or 3 people and to die for, and hubby fries.
I loved all the flavors in my flight and my hubby was very pleased with the bartender’s substitution for his choice of light beer.
The outside looks like a typical small strip mall but once inside it’s a cool industrial style bar, great air conditioning for a hot day, with being able to see the beer tanks; wide open. There is an outside area too and, if I’m correct, has a burn ring for winter.
We will definitely be back.

Came in at what seemed like it shoukd have been a dinner rush time, but the place seemed quiet and relatively empty. Nice staff.

Brussel sprouts were overcooked, a usual trait among many restaurants. Good on them to serve a dip with them to mask it, but I really would prefer juicy sprouts over dry ones.

The salmon was fantastic. Well and evenly cooked and tasted amazing. The burger was a bit too well done despite asking for medium. The fries and pasta were also really good.

Enjoyed ourselves at Akademia Brewing. The outdoor patio was perfect for my friend’s two greyhounds to chill with us. All of the staff were super friendly, there’s ample parking, the food was good, and the atmosphere is very chill. Dog-friendly and family-friendly.

I had such a great time at Akademia Brewing Company. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, and the staff made the experience even better with how friendly and attentive they were. The food came out hot and flavorful, and the beer selection was impressive — you can tell they put real care into their craft. It’s the kind of place where you can hang out with friends, enjoy good drinks, and not feel rushed. I’ll definitely be coming back soon.

Three stars across the board. When it’s good, it’s great. When it’s not, it’s awful. I’ve been going to Akademia since they opened years ago, and the main issue I will point out is a real problem with consistency. I’ve almost never gotten the same meal or drink twice, despite ordering the same meal or drink.

Depending on who is cooking and serving the bar, you will get drastically different outcomes for your meal. Today was probably the most disappointing meal I’ve had at Akademia. I ordered the pulled pork BBQ sandwich, which in the past has been VERY consistent and delicious. Today I received big chunks (not shredded, pulled pork – I even asked my server if I was mistakenly given chicken) of overcooked pork with very overcooked fries. All of the fries at our table were overcooked; very crunchy, nearly inedible. Most of us didn’t touch them.

Everyone is friendly, but the service is usually slow even if you’re 1 of 2 tables in the whole building. I think management needs to be putting a lot more effort into training their entire staff with standard procedures. We’ll probably be taking a long break on Akademia again and seeing how they do at a later date.

The other issue is more of a personal preference for me, but there is a lot of noise. You can hear the music from the kitchen, different music playing from the bar, and different music from the brewing area sometimes. It’s too much conflicting noise.

I’m from out of town and needed a beer. Luckily, it’s within walking distance from our hotel.
I like IPA’s and this place didn’t disappoint. Very tasty stuff! Great variety too.

We ordered cheese curds and fried pickles to split between the two of us. The fried pickles aren’t your ordinary fried pickles. They had a unique pickle bite, thinly sliced and had a good crunch. Perfect with beer.

We both ordered the wild mushroom pasta with chicken. This dish hit the spot and was very filling. Portions are more than you can eat. I had to get a to-go box. I’m looking forward to leftovers tomorrow.

The atmosphere was laid back. We sat at the bar. Brandon was our bartender and very attentive. I ordered my first beer off the menu and asked for a recommendation on the second. He nailed it with an EQ IPA.

If you’re looking for a good place for beer and food, this is it. Especially if you’re on this side of town. There isn’t much to choose from.

First time visiting, It felt more like a restaurant than a brewery. It could have been the time of day but I saw a staff focused on serving you pub fair from the kitchen. I could smell a stream of fried brussel sprouts flowing from the kitchen. I do appreciate the kitchens’ semi-openness, it always makes you feel better about eating somewhere that has no “secrets” about kitchen cleanliness or strange cooking practices. I will return and sample food next time. Cheers Akademia. ps. I had no wait on a busy prime time day. Compared to other establishments in the area folks wasting time sitting around for a table.

Great brews, great food, wonderful service, nice atmosphere! Though I think that sums it up I will provide some details.

Came in on a Tuesday lunch. We were seated immediately. Everything was clean and shiny! Our waitress Madison was excellent and attentive. Super friendly but gave us space!

Lots of beer choices and they do offer the option to taste the different varieties. I also saw someone trying a flight of beers. A great idea.

The food was hot and excellent. They were out of fish and chips, but the burgers were wonderful.

It’s a nice venue, with ample seating indoors and an outdoor patio.

The bar is huge and looks shiny and high-tech. As does the brewery!

Bathrooms were clean.

This is a hidden gem and is a great place to share with visitors that want a high quality unique experience.

There is plenty of parking.

This place is kind of hidden. The landmark for your turn is the old gray bus with their logo on it. And there’s plenty of parking.

Highly recommend it for casual drinks, an interesting conversational date night, or a good meal. Ask for Madison!

2 months late in writing this post. I came here back in November 2021 on a Monday lunch. It wasn’t busy. We sat outside since it was a beautiful day out. The only downside is that service lacked in the beginning of our dining. It took our server over 10 minutes just to greet us. However she did give us complimentary fries as an appetizer. Overall our server was great and the food was amazing and drinks were great.

Despite the slow service, we had a pleasant dining experience. Would definitely come back again!

Awesome atmosphere, and great beer. We did not eat, but had an awesome pretzel, and will bring our appetite next time. We were bummed that another brewery in town was still closed, and gave this spot a try. Absolutely impressed. Outside covered seating. Inside bar, dinning, and lounge area, with nice couches. Very cozy, and all of the staff were so nice and attentive. Plenty of parking, and very convenient.
