What really made the visit special was the very friendly beautiful Selena — she made the whole place feel warm and welcoming. The diner was clean, cozy, and had that genuine local charm you can’t fake.
After a long hike to the waterfall, stopping here felt absolutely perfect. Good food, quick service, and that relaxed small-town mountain atmosphere — exactly what you want after a day on the trail.
Girl, your makeup is awesome ❤️
I had a Cuban sandwich with fries. My wife and one friend had grilled cheese sandwiches. Our other friend had broccoli and cheddar omelet.

The menu is extensive, offering pages of choices.
The service was excellent right from the start; our server was at our table immediately, and the busboy was attentive, refilling our drinks as soon as they ran low.

The food is nothing special, typical diner breakfast as you would expect.
I got the Californian burger, apparently, the last one. It looked good and the fries too. Overall it was okay.
However, that burger gave me the worst food poisoning. At 3 am I was in the bathroom non stop. The worst part is that I was at a campground.
I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.
We said “eight,” and the host looked instantly tired and unenthusiastic. It was still morning! Was it really that bad for a group of people to come in after church to enjoy breakfast together?
The diner looks nice in the front, but they seated us all the way in the back, where it felt like a plain storage room — four walls, a ceiling, lots of tables and chairs, and zero charm. The front had open space, but for some reason, we were placed in the back. At first, we brushed it off. But then we noticed something that didn’t sit right — the only other groups seated in the back were non-white, like us. That made the whole situation feel even worse.
The service didn’t improve. We waited around 45 minutes just to place our order. When the server came by, we said clearly, “Just water for now, we’re ready to order our food.” They didn’t even acknowledge us — just dropped off the waters and walked away.
When the food finally came, it was terrible. I ordered steak and eggs (medium) and got an overcooked steak and one scrambled egg. That was it.
Overall, it was a disappointing experience from start to finish. The atmosphere might be nice if you’re sitting up front — but if you’re not white, don’t expect the same treatment. Save yourself the frustration and order somewhere else.
Prices were absolutely reasonable. Server was very attentive and polite. Best of all, the receipt didn’t tell me how much to tip, nor was I charged extra for credit use. Old school diner feel that we much appreciated. I prefer dining here over downtown Tannersville.
