Our visit was wonderful from start to finish. The restaurant is beautiful, meticulously clean, and the ambience was absolutely perfect. The entire team, from the hostesses to the waiters, was incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel welcome throughout the night.
If you appreciate fresh fish, this is easily the best sashimi in the Fort Worth area.
Yellowtail & Bluefin Tuna O Toro: These were the absolute stars of the night—fresh, high-quality, and simply fantastic.
Wagyu Hot Rock: This was a “melt-in-your-mouth” experience.
Flamed Tuna Tataki: Not only delicious but a very fun presentation as they flame-cook it right at the table.
Shrimp Tempura: Perfectly cooked, very fresh, and well-executed.
While the appetizers and raw fish were elite, a few of the prepared dishes didn’t quite live up to the same standard:
Udon Noodles: These were just “okay” and lacked the “wow” factor of the other plates.
Lobster Roll: The presentation was beautiful, but unfortunately, the lobster tempura was overcooked, which took away from the overall experience of that specific dish.
Final Verdict
Despite those two dishes missing the mark, the quality of the sashimi and the appetizers was so high that I am already looking forward to returning. I’m especially interested in coming back for their live tuna cutting on Thursdays and trying their Omakase menu.
Highly recommended for anyone looking for top-tier fresh fish

For a vegetarian, the mains could have had more flavor. I would recommend a little more salt and chili oil (in the hot stone) will do wonders. And for the vegetarian nigiri, a little more flavor in the mushroom and veggies would change everything. We like the presentation and service. We absolutely LOVED the ube crepe cake. Very thin layers, perfectly sweet, very good ube taste coming through. Perfectly nutty with a little but of vanilla flavor. They nailed that. I would come back just for the dessert!

Outstanding dinner enjoyed at the bar. Nice vibe. Got to talking with the sushi chef about the knives he uses. Just got back from Tokyo so this place had a high bar. They did not disappoint. Nice decor and ambience. My soup was hot and delicious. The salted edamame was solid. My fish was great. My yum yum roll was nice too but I’m not a huge fan of all that sauce. Definitely worth a visit. Cost less than 100 including 20% tip.

Had a great birthday dinner here! Our server, Idris, was fun and provided great information and recommendations for our first visit at Nikko. He went into detail listed which fish was included for the 6 course meal and premium omakase order – which we chose to get along with additional rolls (both cooked and raw). My favorite roll was the mango ichigo roll and this location is known for the blue fin tuna cutting (usually live on Thursdays at 7pm). So of course, we tried the toro – loved the o-toro and chu-toro dishes. The ebi (sweet shrimp) was my favorite sushi! The chef came out to personally greet us after the Omakase tasting which was courteous and nice. We appreciated the time and consideration for him to come out. We’ve tried a couple of sushi places but this location the chef was particular to the details and flavors of the sauce for the fish – which was amazing! We left very full and happy! Thank you for a night to remember.

Came to a great resturant for my birthday! Our waiter Idris was very kind, knowledgeable, and patient! The Wagyu and specialty roll were really good. Definitely coming back! This was definitely the best sushi place in the area . Thank you Idris!

The sushi here is so fresh! I started with oysters, and enjoyed trying different sushi à la carte. Specifically the torched sake toro, torched hotate + yuzu salt, and sweet ebi. If you plan on trying one roll it has to be the TORO ROLL. 100/10 🙂

First time dining at Nikko last night with a business colleague. Because the menu is so extensive with so many delicious choices, we didn’t know where to start. So we told our wonderful waitress, Lauren, our framework: 2 appetizers, 2 cold plates, 2 hot plates, 2 rolls, and 1 bottle of sake. Lauren was amazing as she showed expertise and gravitas with the Nikko menu offerings as well as with the sake. We went with her recommendations and we were not disappointed – each plate had it’s own personality and presentation (our favorite dishes were the smoked duck, seared tuna on flaming rocks (!), and the perfectly seasoned shishito peppers).
We ended our meal with a delectable Ube cheesecake…the best we’ve eaten by far. Kudos to Nikko and kudos to Lauren for making our meal experience so good that we’ll each be taking our wives back. We are Team Lauren! (She is a sweet young lady and so friendly!)

This is a beautifully decorated restaurant with an awesome ambience. The service is top notch too. The place can get crowded on weekends, so booking would be recommended. You have plenty of parking around the place as well as in the parking lot just 50yards from the restaurant. The food was plated well and taste was decent but not spectacular. The quality of fish was really good. While the restaurant itself felt a bit cramped, the food on the plates were sparse. Nikkos definitely has so much room for doing even better.

It’s second to none in a word. Needless to say about not dish quality but also excellent serving. All staffs were professional and showed off their best efforts all the way. Managements cared guests needs and feedback silently like a 5 star hotel service. Variety of drinks but relatively low priced sake/Japanese vodka must be excellent choice for beginners. I’m up for revisiting with my family and friends in the near future and am pretty sure this is one of best and must visit places in Southlake. Tuna Cutting show was so exciting.

Heard of this place from social media and decided to try it out. Great restaurant in a busy shopping center. So happy to get a chance to make a reservation and try the delicious food. The waiter was very informative of all these selections on the menu. The fish tasted phenomenal. I would recommend and come back.
